The only way to stop all this nonsense is I'm afraid, to start searching into the past of the 'woke' accusers & 'outing' THEM. Every single one of us will have somewhere in our family history something which can be construed as racist, somehow connected to slavery, non-PC or in some way reprehensible by today's standards. The horrible Head librarian at the BL...

Dreadful word, I agree.....a politically correct synonym for'politically correct' in my opinion.
I enjoy using the term.

It's a horrible word - perfect shorthand for horrible people stirring up horrible hostility for absolutely no good reason beyond their own futile and pathetic self-aggrandisement.
I thought you might Andy, I shall try to clear the poor hens from my mind's eye.

If only it was just used against those people, rather than anyone who speaks out about anything, no matter how justified.
Casual racism? It's when they get dressed up that the problems really start.

That's the price we pay for living in a soceity where lazy stereotyping and unjustified judgement are the way most people approach their fellow human beings.

All of which you express a joy for using the aforementioned term. Doesn't reflect well.

Yu sound as if you disapprove of that. If so, why?
Mozz - // All of which you express a joy for using the aforementioned term. Doesn't reflect well. //

I use the term specifically against the individuals who are categorically operating within said terms of reference - there is no lazy sterotyping involved.

I am able to assess the difference between someone who is speaking out about something because they care about it, and some immature twonk who thinks their outrage on behalf of someone who neither knows nor cares, makes them more important.
Andy, Damn shame you can't teach others to follow suit. Still, I mustn't complain, or I'll be a snowflake too ;-)
I wouldn't go so far as to say that the mere fact that in The Famous Five George is a girl, is a 'shade of lesbianism', subtle or otherwise.

What because she has a male name? I'm sure she wasn't the only Georgina to shorted her name! Sheesh, people are strange.
Tora, I thought Andy and I were having a conversation. You must be bored.
Nah Tora, just a bun fight , sticky buns at that.
I reckon Tora just wants to see me and Andy in leotards.
For his next children's book.

I rather think it's a reference to the schoolgirl 'Bill' and the 'mannish' Miss Peters at Malory Towers. :0)
Mozz - // Andy, Damn shame you can't teach others to follow suit. //

It is, but I'm not a teacher.
