Did you know they were made in Egypt? It says Birmingham on the wrapper.

I doubt that the reason is an unexpected surge in demand. Why would that be?

I suspect a shortage of an ingredient, or a import problem.

Just been to the shops and they have plenty of 99 Flakes in? No shortage here. Perhaps they are trying to encourage panic buying.
No need to encourage panic buying to shift them, just say you must buy one with every pack of bog roll. Soon be gone.

Since the Yanks bought Cadbury's the choc tastes foul anyway. All plasticky.
