more men are killed by other men, than women.
Is it racist to say anything about a religion?

It's not about an ethnic group - anyone can support it. And one can hardly class Islam as minority or marginalised.
Sounds to me like a clash of cultures within a culture. Backward thinking man spurned by modern, educated female. How very dare she?!! Very sad indeed. Poor girl.
indeed poor girl, she only went out there for a wedding.....
We should place sanctions upon Pakistan. Let us be clear. Such barbaric behaviour is unacceptable. We are not in the 7th century.

If thy right hand offends thee, chop it off. Islam offends millions of decent people.
//indeed poor girl, she only went out there for a wedding.....//

Doesn't warrant her murder, of course, but I hope the wedding was of a close relative and that both the participants live outside the UK. It was obviously a long reception as I believe she'd been in Pakistan for two months.
"If thy right hand offends thee, chop it off. Islam offends millions of decent people. "

and therefore... what?
as i said she could have come home, but chose to stay for a while, perhaps she had thoughts of staying for good, who knows...
She's of Pakistani decent. She probably stayed to get to see family members.
two months though, that;s quite a long while for someone who was only seeing family...
Depends on how big the family is.
likely have a largeish family, perhaps she stayed on because she had met someone, i guess the truth will out sooner than later.
i hope they get the perpetrators who did this horrible crime.
Of course, it is a possibility that she had no choice in staying in Pakistan, and may have been forced to do so by whoever it was she got involved with over there.
but her family live in UK. she could have surely gone home any time she liked.
Not if she was being forced to remain. Obviously, it's just speculation, but it seems strange that a young woman in her position would throw away the years of study for her degree by staying over there.
terrible story whatever the truth - another barbaric killing of a young woman..
