or at least, blasphemy against one specific religion:-

if the west refuses to comply, how effective would a muslim trade boycott be in forcing the west to reconsider?

A trade ban for hurting somebody's feelings? Wow!

Mr Khan is incorrect when he suggests that Western countries do not upset Jews. They do. The difference is that Jews give as good as they get and they laugh at themselves and their religion. Muslims need to lighten up a bit and stop having their lives dominated by their religion. They might find life a little more enjoyable.
Same could be said of the ‘’woke’’ lefties.
this is just prime ministerial ya-ya
that we know well from Boris Macron or Trump
Jews give as good as they get

really? I recall the outcome of hate speech against Jews quite differently.

Anyway, it will encourage the west to find alternatives to oil in a hurry.
// Mr Khan is incorrect when he suggests that Western countries do not upset Jews.//

he was married to one so I suppose I think he knows
( Jemima Goldsmith, way back when)
Jemima Goldsmith isn’t Jewish. Children of Jewish fathers take their mother’s religion - and her mother is the daughter of an aristocrat. Had Jemima been Jewish it’s very doubtful indeed that she would have married Khan.
As for the OP, khan’s plan is ludicrous.
I don't recall any Jews taking so much umbrage that they want to cease trading with people. Enough already and mazel tov to everybody.
We.stop trading with Pakistan. Who do you think that'll hurt more Imran? Pakistan, or the rest of non-Islamic countries conbined?
\\Pakistan’s prime minister is urging Muslim-majority countries to join together and launch a trade boycott of Western governments, in an effort to pressure them into criminalizing insults against the Prophet Muhammad.//

Well if they don't like the west they know what to do.
I wonder if he expects western aid to continue?
Lets stop sending them money.

Is there an election in the offing?
Looks like some of the French citizens are waking up as well. We don't buy your religion and you can't sell it to free thinkers anyway ... deal?

Does the ex playboy cricket player also want to cease trade and cordial relations with China? Or does he consider the way that the Chinese treat his fellow "believers" as ... kosher?
Question Author
while the chinese are dealing with Imran's fellow believers, they don't print derogatory cartoons of the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ).

QED they're jolly fine chaps, those chinese.
The man is a lunatic.
MAABOF
He used to be a very good cricketer and seemed very well-balanced between Islam and the West. Sad to see what has happened to him.
Seems a very odd thing to say.

Since not trading with Pakistan would hardly hurt anyone I assume he is expecting the oil nations to participate. Good luck with that one mate, the Arabs wont want to give up on their cash, not even for religion.
