AH, //naomi - // I think ‘poor sod’ too. // Why do you think that?// Because he got out of bed that morning and prepared in the normal way for a day at work - shower, breakfast, a bit of interaction with his family perhaps - completely unaware that his life was about to change forever. Poor sod.

either, they seem to do it at the drop of a hat
A guilty verdict may incite some protests but it is a racing certainty that a not guilty verdict will lead to rioting and looting.

It's pretty well certain that it'll be the prescribed verdict JD.
Americans seem very big on "the rule of law" but when it does not deliver the verdict they want, mayhem reigns.
I'm sure there will be riots and looting whichever way the verdict goes.
In other words... the verdict is “prescribed” if Tora disagrees with it, and just and fair if he agrees with it...

You couldn’t make it up :)
Any old excuse for a good riot in the US!
Go on Untitled, hint at him being a racist!
Why would I do that Zacs?

17:53, that's an example of the "so" rule, without even using the word "so". Impressive, AH would love that!
closing speeches a bit plonkety - the jury decides fact and so I suppose it is not overloaded or larded with case law
why not peter, the majority of the States practice common law.
wonder what the actual verdict in law will be second-degree murder
third-degree murder second-degree manslaughter ?
Either way, he's probably going down for a long time, poor sod.
o god I thought this was Loathing

no it is possible he cd be acquitted. This kinda happened in Sarf Efrica and the judge was told by the jury of 12 boere ( white farmers)
not guilty by reason of insanity
and the judge said: what all 12 of you?
ter daaah !
I think ‘poor sod’ too.
Chauvin didn’t even have the guts to defend himself in front of a jury.
Spineless.

If they clear him the system is corrupt, so of course there will be mass rioting.

America is broken and a failed state, riven by corporate, political, legal and racial injustice. It is morally corrupt and beyond redemption.

so sunk has already made his mind up, must be guilty! Why do you think he should defend himself against pro lawyers? is that generally advisable?
Not at all advisable. There are cases where people have talked their way to the gallows when there was a good chance of acquittal had they kept their mouths shut.

JD: "Not at all advisable. There are cases where people have talked their way to the gallows when there was a good chance of acquittal had they kept their mouths shut. " - but to sunk you are spineless for having a lawyer! I assume that's only for people that he has already determined are guilty! typical lefty attitude!
The trial will determine whether black criminals are to be better protected than the "cops" in the States. Whatever the verdict there will be a decrease in one and an increase in the other. All we are waiting for is which of them is going to happen. This article is being passed along on the media outlets there.
