I would like to say that this is beyond belief but, unfortunately, it is a symptom of the hooliganism that pervades modern UK.

What, walking round a garden?
What is beyond belief, danny?
What is a symptom of hooliganism?
words fail me
The damage to the wreath could have been caused by foxes. I get a lot of teddy bears, windmills and bits of wreaths from graves in my garden - I have seen the foxes play with them on my CCTV.

Sorry, I forgot to post the link. Thanks Barry.
They’ve no respect for themselves therefore can’t show it for others, they crave notoriety on places like FB, they should be placed in the middle of Stokes football stadium in stocks so decent folk can pelt them with rotten fruit to match their rotten mindset !
scum
i doubt if foxes damaged the plaque
damn savages should be thrashed to within an inch of their worthless lives.
ael, I didn't suggest that foxes damaged the plaque. They wreath and the plaque are in two different locations
A sad indictment on society. Utterly depressing.
I get what you’re saying re the flowers, our local Crem went through weeks of destruction of the flowers left by loved ones as you can no longer send them to hospitals, however on close inspection via CCTV, it was squirrels doing the damage
Even birds will be pecking away at floral decorations if there are bits that can be used for nesting.
i try to be optimistic and think of the many young people who do wonderful things . . .

I agree, ael. Most people are kind and thoughtful in my experience. Louts and hooligans can be any age
The cemetery where my grandad and great-grandmother are there are loads of stems strewn about because the rabbits eat the flowers. Its a huge cemetery near Woking.

Either way it is a very sad sight.

The plaque is a different matter. Disgraceful!
danny it is not beyond belief it has become so common in so many situations that it no longer has any emotional effect on me. That may be due to my psychological make up or the changes to society in the past 30 years inthe name of free speech and progress.
I guess it maybe a combination of both.
RESPECT has diminished, for teachers, the police and particularly success........the British have great difficulty in acknowledging success and all that goes with it.
Average and the ordinary is acclaimed and first names have become the norm in all aspects of life.
All this leads to and fuels disrespect.

danny...no......it leaves me cold.......no effect on my emotions at all.
A little off the op, but I saw just a couple of clips this morning on the riots in Belfast, and yes once again there are political problems to be sorted, but in the two clips, all I saw was gangs of teenage kids in hoodies setting alight anything they possible could, and recording it on their phones, I don't believe they have any political motive, just any excuse to feed their insane minds.
