"But many MPs have criticised the plans, with senior Tory backbencher Mark Harper warning it could lead to a "two-tier" Britain, demanding a vote on the issue." - perhaps the anti vaxers could wear actual tin hats!

...and before someone states the obvious those with a valid exemption are fine.
Do you mean 'tin hatters'?

I don't think anyone hates tin - do they?
Sn...idey people might
Off with their heads.
"I don't think anyone hates tin - do they?"

Some do, just because they can.
'Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she was open-minded about using certificates to allow certain activities to resume, and called for an open debate.'

In other words, she'll wait to see what Boris or Matt announce and then do something very similar a little bit quicker.
Very very clever Dooogie.
Our M.P. Mr. Harper has been saying for some time about the measures needed for a smooth re-opening of hospitality etc.
"Kill the Tin!"
It’s the tin end of the wedge.
I much prefer fresh or frozen
// Speaking on a visit to an AstraZeneca factory in Macclesfield, Cheshire, Mr Johnson said... //

Another unnecessary journey.
Stay Home. Save Lives. Protect the NHS.
Andy Warhol should be outed as a tin hater for exploiting a tin of Campbell soup, are there any statues we can topple?
Not everyone who disagrees with Certificate Of Vaccine ID's are anti vax or tin haters.

I disagree with it. It is un British and breaches our rights IMHO. And I am vaccinated.

Probably more like those with an open liberal mind versus the bed wetters.
// 'Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she was open-minded about using certificates to allow certain activities to resume, and called for an open debate.' //

the Edinburgh Evening News is reporting that certificates are likely to be "digital". which would of course disenfranchise anyone who doesn't have a smart phone (yes they do exist, peeps without smart phones).
Exactly, whatever form it was would end up being discriminatory to someone somewhere. Just watch those Court cases fly.

And I still dont get the point. You can spread it even though vaccinated (according to the NHS website)
I'm vaccinated, but totally disagree with the idea of carrying 'passes'. A sort of medical apartheid is what will result and goodness knows where that coercion would lead. Appalling, totalitarian idea.
Sunk, don't forget thrre will soon be a Novavax factory to visit, in Barnard Castle. I don't know if he'll visit it alone or stop off at SpecSavers and make a day of it.
If they are talking about an App, it will probably not work.
The Government (and previous ones) have a very poor record of commissioning technology.
