Sir Alan Duncan Politician Con. Writing in his new book. Describes Johnson as a
Self centered egoist,an embarrasing buffoon with an untidy mind, and sub zero diplomatic judgement, and needs publicity like a drug addict needs cocaine. WOW.
Does anyone on A/B agree with him.

Anyone could have told you that – I’m waiting for Boris to admit that the only reason he backed Brexit was to give him a better chance of becoming PM. He is the sort of person who is willing to flush the country down the toilet for personal gain – not the sort of person you’d want running any country.

19.30 TTT ,what are you doing with all these links you keep asking for. Making a chain maybe.
My political views are generally far more to the right than to the left but I can't find anything in AD's description of Boris that I wouldn't agree with.

However it would also seem to be a perfect description of Donald Trump and, while Trump seemed totally unwilling to listen to any of his advisers (on Covid or on anything else), at least BoJo has got enough brains in his head to pay heed (for some of the time, at least) to what others are telling him.
^Apples and oranges
I think that Johnson has got most of Harry Flashman's unpooleasant qualities, without the physical strength and undeniable courage in battle (despite Flashy's modest self-appraisal).
Lower down the social scale? Classic Marxist rollocks. Everthing seen in class terms. Suppose that makes Guardian readers, all 140,000 of them, the upper class. So they're the oppressors? Think not.
Duncan, the peevishly effeminate wannabe who also fanaticises over male aircraft cabin crew when recounting a trip to represent The UK abroad, and thinks that Chris Martin of Coldplay is a bit of a hunk? Hates every woman that he has ever met and every man that likes women. Our op is obviously "drawn" to men like that. Catty little man with a big boy wish.
Togo: Somewhat homophobic, don't you think. At least he became the first Tory MP to 'come out', which may have taken a little courage.
21:53, BA right there.
Nothing homophobic about it. Anyway, Duncan was not the first, Harvey Proctor was out long before him, not that he had any choice, having been convicted of indecency with young men.
Obviously anti- British too then. :-)
I've never particularly liked Alan Duncan and have found myself disagreeing with him most of the time. He probably has a nugget of truth in his assessment of Boris. I think the problem is that Boris needs to be liked and is malleable and listening to 'experts' before trusting his own instincts. I would not like to accept Sir Alec's whole assessment, but I think that Boris is weak and easily manipulated.

If Boris wanted to flush the country down the toilet he could have back-tracked and done a May.
hymie: "Anyone could have told you that – I’m waiting for Boris to admit that the only reason he backed Brexit was to give him a better chance of becoming PM. " - but surely that would mean that he thought brexit was popular with the public and it turns out that he was right! So what you are really saying is that you hate democracy! rigth oh! PMSL!
Such waspishness from a declared homo-sexual loser, demonstrating 'his' ire against a heterosexual, proven winner.

The undercurrents within this I can assure you run dark & deep.
When you're counting on his sexuality to win your argument, you've already lost.
Some might say the article is just a puff piece.
The fact that anyone (other than his mother) would think Boris is a suitable person to hold any position of authority is very worrying – are you people oblivious to this man’s past?
Paigntonian at 21.39 - I may disagree with you, but I manage to do so without offensive language - maybe you should try to do the same.
You agree with it Gulliver ... and, as always, we're all in awe of your perception. :o))
