Todays Covid briefing was mainly on schools reopening and an update on covid figures and vaccinnes . But it was again spoiled for me by non Covid related questions from the press- today two asked about Megan Markel and the racism claims, one about nurses pay proposal (ok looseley linked) and one about Brexit trade deals
Why on earth dos'nt Borris (or Hancock or whoever) just say "this isnt the place, next journalist please"

Yes woofgang, Boris could and does do it more nicely than Nicola with a smile and a witty comment or a bit of Latin or Greek mytholgy reference rather than a snarl but he should do it more often, just say either directly or indirectly but charmingly that this isnt the time or place, next question please
Again, if through a different policy/regime you are running at a few to no daily cases, you can afford a steady pace of vaccination in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines, then is that so bad - there's more of it arriving steadily, you are not running out ? You don't have to panic, neither the media or the public are in an uproar. You now get on with the job in an orderly manner, the hospitals are working as normal (not one Covid case in hospital), there have been no deaths for months (the total death rate is something approaching half a percent of the UK's), schools are open, concerts and sports events have their audiences, life is not so bad. Which is really better in whose mind ? People can by all means close eyes and ears and declare superiority of their own fate decided for them but is anger over someone questioning the self-righteousness not going a bit too far ?
but you still haven't answered my question or, for that matter, named the country?

Not sure which utopia your refering to but unfortunately we are where we are in UK and turning down a vaccinne here because everything seems better in this other place seems wierd
I will go without a vaccine until I get it the way it was meant to be administered - that might mean going elsewhere (outside the UK) for it. I have done my research as to what is happening outside the confines of The Best because I want independent evaluation of why it is declared The Best. Anyone can do that and find what I found - if they care to.

Sorry but no idea what that means Karl.

But lets hope you dont regret postponing the jab for who knows how long and hope you can make the trip to whichever country your thinking of (Isle of Man? New Zealand?)
