i wonder how this will turn out, the weka judges will erm probably let her return, thus allowing all the others to do the same, moneys no object or public safety only points of law matter.

Section 6 is interesting "She appealed for her human rights claim" What about the human rights of people like Alan Henning and James Foley?

Danny read the headline in the OP's link.
Just been on the news (10am)that she has been refused permission to return. Good
There's a broader issue than the right to return as a non-UK citizen to fight her case. It is a bit of a catch-22 because now she has been stripped of citizenship it makes her case more problematic!
I too bet that she will be allowed back. God help us if this opens the gates.
She is still in the refugees camp when she had the option of starting a new life in Bangladesh. What's wrong with Bangladesh??!!
Sharon, look up ^^^ She has been refused permission to return.
See my link @ 10.02. She has lost her case.
Bangladesh is far more strict in their dealings with women i would think, going on various reports i have read in the past. But as they say you make your bed, so indeed must make the best of it.
Bangladesh does not want her and she does not want to go there.
Apart from that, I'd say Bangladesh was just fine :-)
The UK contends that stripping her of citizenship is legal as she is eligible for Bangladeshi citizenship, but that contention seems ... contentious.
There are many people in a similar situation - she has made the headlines.
It's easy to jump on the bandwagon, but ultimately these decisions may not be in our best interests, far from it in fact.
icheria, so what are you suggesting, that she should be allowed to return, that isn't going to happen thank heavens.
ich // decisions may not be in our best interests, far from it in fact.//
How do you come to that conclusion?
Looks like game, set and match. Very rarely does the Supreme Court overturn its own decisions.
ich: //"- She leaves the country to support terrorism, THAT's a disgrace! "

It is, but there is a bit more to it than that, ooutside the cheap comments we can all make on a forum. // - err what for example?
I'm surprised at the decision.
There'll be a frosty atmosphere in legal circles today.
Can they still appeal to that European court?
They're bound to go against us. ;-)
is the Supreme Court decision the last word so to speak, no appeals??
Her husband was a screamer, she can apply to go to Holland!
Yes. Supreme Court decisions are binding on all lower courts as well as itself, except in very rare circumstances.
spice: "Can they still appeal to that European court? " - nope, that's one of the reasons we left the EUSSR.
then its a good decision all round.
Don't think the ECHR or whatever it's called is an EU set up.
Don't know whether they can over-rule our SC either.
Law is so fluid nowadays.
