The Australian Government. But, even if not, then it's pretty scummy for multinational companies to think that they can or should be allowed to bend National Governments to their will.

They are both right, Australia has a right to force tech to pay for news content and tech has a right to avoid that charge by not showing it.
I pretty much agree with you TTT. Facebook isn't the only platform for news, so it's not like people are being denied access for something they can't find elsewhere. I've never used FB for news, I just go to the SKY/BBC or whatever website.
Facebook schmacebook, the more slaps they get the better for all of us.
It's their loss if the take the huff.
