Were the polce aware of the party in Knightsbridge?
Is there a link?
someone already posted about the possible Jewish wedding, though there wasn't a link, or not one i could find. according to the post, the windows of the venue were blacked out, and there was supposed to be 400 guests.
needawin, from reading the links it appears that both parties were dealt with in the same manner with fixed penalty notices handed out.
I was going to point that out...but waited to see if you would do it, Sunk.

And you did.
it's not clear that it was a Jewish wedding. It was a wedding party; these can be held anywhere, and I dont suppose Jewish schools will be the only establishments trying to make some money in hard times by renting out their premises.
it's not clear that it was a Jewish wedding.

Were they in disguise?
the hall had been leased to an outside organisation and “we had no knowledge that the wedding was taking place”.
from Emmie's link

\\A statement from the school, whose principal, Rabbi Avrahom Pinter, died in April after contracting coronavirus, said the hall had been leased to an outside organisation and “we had no knowledge that the wedding was taking place”.

A spokesman said: “We are absolutely horrified about last night’s event and condemn it in the strongest possible terms.”//

so not a jewish wedding then.
needawin, I have not seen any evidence of any arrests?
five fixed penalty notices in Stamford Hill seems to be all, dannyk. Thirty in Knightsbridge, and no arrests. (There could be some later relating to the injuries, I suppose.)
Why is it when you make a post . Other abers try to prove you wrong.
I'd imagine that the number of fixed penalties issued relates to how quick the partygoers scarpered in relation to the number of Officers attending.

If you know more then best to report your findings to someone in authority.

Its not about proving someone wrong but its all about providing the correct information.
//...it's not clear that it was a Jewish wedding.//

You can believe me (or not, no real bother) it was a Jewish Wedding. I know Stamford Hill very well, I know Edgerton Road where the school is and I know the school. Few people other than those from the large Jewish community living there would even know that the school hires its premises for functions; few people other than those from the large Jewish community living there would think of using it for a wedding; few people other than those from the large Jewish community living there would actually do so. More than that, it is extremely doubtful that the school (or whoever they say they sub-contracted it to for hire purposes) would consider renting to anybody other than people from the large Jewish community living there.

The Jewish community in Stamford Hill is one of the most insular and private you might encounter in mainland Britain. They have their own schools, their own shops, their own hairdressers, their own doctors, their own clinics. Gentiles do not use these facilities. The area has (when I last looked) approaching 100 synagogues - an enormous number for such a small area but many of them are small affairs, often in people's houses. It also has many small schools (most of them in converted large houses - the one where this incident is said to have taken place is an exception, being a large, purpose built establishment). The people are mainly Hasidic Jews and wear distinctive clothes. I believe Stamford Hill is the largest settlement of Hasidic people outside Israel and New York. Believe me, it was a Jewish wedding.
Ah yes, NJ, I remember The Egg Stores well - one of the strangest shops I've ever encountered. I lived near there for many years, I wonder if it's still there?
