good. His first impeachment was low-grade stuff that hardly deserved the time and effort (neither did Clinton's) but personally I regard summoning mobs into the Capitol as serious.
The most bipartisan impeachment vote in history apparently which doesn’t say much for the others but does say quite a lot about this one
you couldnt have added this to one of your other 2 posts on this this evening?
ten? thanks

have still to point out, that in the Land of the Free, impeach means indict
whereas we usually take it as convict ( er make a determination that is)

Warren Hastings 1790 was referred to as his trial altho I note wiki uses impeach as indict or charge
[corruption in India, 1795 got bored and acquitted him in case anyone wonders]
That's only in the House. They will need 67 votes in the Senate, a very tall order.
oh stop complain ing everyone
TTT used to allow himself the luxury of FIVE brexit threads on a good day

all saying the same thing, and the same as the day before.
and did the usual suspects plead - " we have done this TTT!"

nope in they piled with their c/ps for hundreds of answers.

yeah I am not sure why you impeach someone knowing the voting will be acquit as the 'jury' will divide on party grounds

bednobs: What's the problem? There's some interesting news and I thought it worth a mention. I'm sorry if it didn't fit with your rules and meant no offense.

And if people don't think that what's happening in The States isn't interesting then they shouldn't be on a site like AB.
It's breaking news on the BBC. He's been impeached.
What's the question? Or is this yet another that belongs on chatterbank? Same old same old.
Spungle - are you serious? The president of America has been impeached and you think that's not news worthy?
impeachment of POTUS belongs in Chatterbank? Riiiiight.
Not my point. My point is that this is not a question. This is Answerbank. If you want to chatter, go on to Chatterbank. If not, post a question. It really is quite simple.
Wonder what Farage thinks about his Impeached Hero.
No...it's an opening for debate. Just a subject. Give us your opinion on Trump being impeached for the 2nd time.
At 2202, another wannabe moderator!
Dear goodness, no - no more political or covid threads in CB.

Leave them here.
In fact as impeachments go, he now equals the total of the other presidents combined.
It’s not a foregone conclusion by any means he’ll get off: the Senate is a more sedate and less partisan place than the House
