Terra Carta eh?
Very modrin and up to the minute, does one pay subs in salt?
I've seen them, statues of warriors, right?
Yup, TTT. That's it: Terra Carta Barmy ;-)
Another damp squib from HRH eh? Like the Prices Trust? The Trust that since The Prince of Wales set up it in 1976, has helped more than 870,000 disadvantaged young people across the UK to move into work, education or training.

Not ignorance, but ignorance of ignorance is the death of knowledge.
— Alfred North Whitehead, 1861-1947, British philosopher & mathematician
Any initiative along these lines should only be welcomed in my view.

HRH Prince Charles has done more for this country than any other Royal, save for the Queen. He has created literally thousands of jobs by expanding the Duchy of Cornwall and all its off shoots, helping farmers and small producers to make a living. He works tirelessly for all his Charities, those he has created and those he is Patron of. I will have nothing bad said about him or you will have me to contend with -so there! :-)
He's also redefined 'working tirelessly', apparently.

Nice 'work' if you can get it.
I have a a lot of time for HRH Charles , he's a worker not a shirker but then I'm an ardent Royalist anyway :0))
Douglas I'm sure you would last less than a week trying to keep up with HRH's work schedule.
I can take or leave the Royal Family to be honest, but he seems to be one of the 'workers' along with Price Willian and Anne, The Princess Royal.
I like them and rather have them than have a republic , they need to kick a few into touch like Andrew and his two daughters and Edward doesn't appear to do much either , I like Ann, she's not afraid to speak out, a bit like her father used to be
Obscure meanings here:

'Kicking the bucket'
'what's that got to do with the price of fish?'
"he's got a huge chip on his shoulder'
You won't see much of Andrew again i suspect, as to Edward he does a lot for charity, carrying on with the Duke of Edinburghs award i believe
My husband shows much annoyance about Edwards sporting medals at the cenotaph each November Emmie
not sure if it helps, but does what they are for,
He'd still bristle with annoyance :0)
Terracotta was made to protect the plants so he could be on to summit there .
ay'm surprised the classicists havent opined that it is two nouns run together

terra - Earth
carta - bidda paper, charter

you need the latin for earthly, earthen, adjective
terrae carta ( genitive of the first noun to show interest (modal) - not a carta MADE of earth but concerning earth ......(*)

Magna carta, magna was descriptive - blude-dy great charter , big it was - whereas this is not the function of 'terra' - it is what the charter is about not made of

Blimey Boris who read Greats - spent three y on this frivolity

(*) think pail of iron, pail of water , and er beyond the pale
