Maybe this is one of the reasons why we are struggling so badly in this pandemic crisis?

What is it going to take for the government to get properly on top of public order matters?

Police should focus on higher risk breaches such as large house parties, rita ora type gatherings, anti mask/lockdown demos rather than bother about people who choose to walk on the hills rather than drive to a supermarket or stay cooped upon the house.
its down to the police to sort this out, there are already laws in place to tackle this sort of behaviour - why is it always the government fault, they make the laws its up to people to stick by them, and if they don't the police should intervene where necessary
I agree with Bob. They should focus on inside gatherings not families going for essential exercise and fresh air.
the last time i looked at the anti mask demo, the likes of Piers Corbyn the police just stood around, it was supposedly a peaceful demo, but they were not supposed to be there at all, seeing as it was in Tier 4, but i didn't see the police breaking it up.

But is travelling from London or Milton Keynes to North Wales essential when the country you’re entering is in Tier 4 lockdown?
Why are people making excuses for these idiots?
no idea why someone would travel out of tier 4 but they obviously have, and its up to police now to sort this, but in many cases perhaps their hands are tied who knows.
Thats hardly typical tho is it, most will be from within 20 miles and within wales.
The risks are too low to worry about even for me.

Maybe the Police are fearful of getting too close to this idiots without wearing full ppe.
This is why water cannon would be far more effective.
Under current legislation, people have no right to gather and demonstrate, which is why the government must get tougher or this mess will just spiral continually downwards.
they have come from far afield, and not just a handful by all accounts.
water cannon won't be used because there aren't any anymore, they were as i said before sold for scrap, Theresa May as Home Secretary back in 2015 said they would not be authorised. They were intially brought in for 2011 riots but were never used. Bedsides which you can''t fire on a peaceful demo, its not within the law to do so.
Theres a case for me to focus on a couple of these demos, issue dispersal warnings plus a few arrests and then arrest everyone remaining. Make life uncomfortable for a few days for them. Am surprised goverment has'nt arranged this. But maybe itlllead tomore protests by those who see this as fascist or communist takeover

Just to clarify for ummmm from the link

Wales is at alert level four, meaning non-essential travel is banned and exercise must start and finish at home.

I believe that applies to any person in a Tier 4 area.

But demos aren’t allowed in the current crisis so to my mind it’s the best form of dispersal, get everyone cold and wet in the present weather conditions and they’ll soon toddle off home.
exercise must start and finish at home ?? That's news to me.
as i have stated time and again, there are no water cannon now they were sold for scrap ages ago. and you would have to have the approval of parliament i believe to use them, but they are consigned to history now.

maybe it is, its so complicated to keep up with the rules, laws i can't so suggest that many can't either. I only know friends couldn't travel out of London over Christmas as we went into Tier 4. and that meeting up with same friend today possibly we will have to have our coffee yet again in the outside as cafe only doing takeaways
This is the guidelines for exercise in tier 4, it does not state that it must start and end at home -
People can also exercise outdoors or visit some public outdoor places, such as parks, the countryside accessible to the public, public gardens or outdoor sports facilities. You can continue to do unlimited exercise alone, or in a public outdoor place with your household, support bubble, or
That's what I thought. I was wondering how I could walk my dog if exercise had to start and end at home !! Break the law probably ...
were the visitors right to travel all the way to Wales though - surely there must be parks places to walk nearer home.
