There is no point in allowing takeouts from pubs when this is what happens.

Saw that on our local news , they don't care Chrissa
There is nothing particularly linking pubs to that story. People can go to the supermarket, buy drink and go and drink it where they like.

I know, Bobbi. I question their mentality. Do they really think they are immune to the virus?
Evidently do, I can see us going into tier 4 tomorrow
Question Author
No, archi. You don’t go to a supermarket and buy booze and then go and consume it in the street. They are idiots. If the pubs were closed they would drink their purchases at home.
The magnet for youth in North Tyneside used to be South Parade in Whitley Bay. It has now moved to Front Street, Tynemouth.

Where there are no public toilets so, you can guess what happens.
There's no point in allowing "takeouts" from pubs anyway. Pubs, like restaurants, are places where people meet over a drink or a meal. McDonalds are for takeouts.

The people in the article will gather whether pubs are doing takeouts or not because that's what some people do.
Where I live there were lots of this going on even when the pubs were totally shut during lockdown 1, parks, streets all sorts exactly the same. Really don't think pubs have anything to do with it.
It must be hard for the young Uns, missing out on festivities.
Zac, it's been hard for everyone , rather obey the rules and party when the time comes

Really, archi? It certainly wasn’t going on in North Northumberland where I live. The towns were empty.
That’s easy to say, Bobbi but partying was not in question when you or I were their age. Must be tough for them.
Jack,Friday Nights in Tynemouth are for us oldies.Young ones on Saturday,Couples on Sunday.

But going back to when I was in my twenties, if I’d been told not to do something because many people may die, I wouldn’t do it. Millenniums are selfish and this proves it.
That our pub serves takeaways has been fantastic for us and for them. Phone in your order and book a time to collect. In at the back door. Card only and out through the front door.
Apart from it being the highlight of the weeks it’s the only time I know which day it is.
Takeaway......must be Sunday. I’d hate to lose it.
I think you mean millennials, but, hey, I get your point
This was from June, a week before the pubs opened. This was by no means the first.

But it’s not working, Gness. I’m sorry if you’re a publican trying to survive but, it’s making matters worse. Sorry.
