i don't think that Boris could do any worse or any better than any other leader, but if his party, not us, his party think he is not the man for the job they should call for a vote of no confidence.
//I'd like the Boris knockers to tell me what they would of liked done differently ...? //

Certainly would like him to spend less time concentrating on feathering his friends nests
it seems there are an awful lot of Boris knocker in the tory party
and Boris will be turning to Komrade Korbyns mates to get his laws passed or give even more of our cash to help out his buddies . only time will tell if they maintain their northern voters

He's is taking the chit that the Scientists should be with their mind changes , they don't have to face the backlash
time will tell johnny
yes because bobbi he is leader of the party, who else would take the flak.
Please stop confusing the continuing process of scientists responding to updating evidence and refining their models with "mind changes".
In my opinion Boris has conducted himself disgracefully as the Party leader, as well as certain members of his cabinet. He is acting like a jolly Uncle when really, he should be acting like a strict Headmaster. Although he would probably never want the job, I reckon Rees-Mogg would have been perfect to lead the country through this crisis.
I also think Keir Starmer would do a sterling job and its a pity the crisis could not have been handled by a cross- party committee and show a bit of unity.
Boris can only give out info on the basis surely of the facts given to him by his advisors, scientists.
Emmie so it's all the scientists fault then? For goodness sake the government take into account what SOME scientists say then make decisions based on different factors, both Economic and Social.
Many scientists were suggesting a total lockdown weeks before the Government conceded.
i said advisors and scientists if you look.
Boris can only give out info on the basis surely of the facts given to him by his advisors, scientists.

Is he not the one that picks his advisors?
No need to be pedantic. I rarely answer peoples posts before reading them emmie that would be very rude. you mentioned 'scientists', so perhaps you can tell me if you think it's all the 'scientists' and 'advisors' faults then? Because he's been 'advised' by scientists to do things he has ultimately not done or not done quick enough.
Emmie; "Boris can only give out info on the basis surely of the facts given to him by his advisors, scientists". Keep banging that drum if it makes you happy.
A while back, SAGE advised he PM to initiate a 'circuit-breaker'. He ignored them, possibly because Labour agreed with the scientists? That's not following scientific advice, that's abandoning scientific advice. As i said, cherry picking.
Steg, I am amazed by your naivety. Boris was advised very early on by scientists to lockdown Britain, and he waited, that cost apparently thousands of lives.
Ken -totally agree. Cherry-picking advice to suit his own agendas
I would prefer it if the government had not handed over PPE contracts to companies that had never made it before purely because they were connected to the tories.

I would prefer it if the government had actually done something in January/February when we had warning rather than championing a "herd immunity" strategy (i.e. do nothing).

I would prefer it if the government had been more on the ball re: participating in EU schemes to bulk buy PPE, which we missed three opportunities to participate in.

I would prefer it if the government had punished Dominic Cummings for flagrantly breaking COVID rules that everyone else had to live under.

I would prefer it if the government (the party not boris) had not declined to stockpile protective equipment as a precaution against emergency in 2017 because they didn't want to spend the money.
does anyone know - do both Corbyn brothers hold the same views about the virus?

My naivety? We were pretty much in lockdown up here 2 weeks before Westminster gov eventually called it
i believe his brother is against a lockdown
