As far as England/Scotland relations go I agree with Jenrick, it has been used by the Anti English to drive a wedge between us. We now have the most Anti English Scottish leader since William Wallace and she is determined to punish Scotland for her ideology.
Watching it now Tora after just getting up, has sturgeon drove a wedge between the Union was was one of the questions and I'd say definitely she has, she swipes at anything to to do this but having said that I thing she's a little firebrand and a strong leader forScotland , personally I wish they'd go and have their independence if that's what they want, why hold onto a people that clearly dislike everything England stand for?
I can't help but feel that it's not really for the PM to judge: devolution was voted for, and remains supported by the majority of, the Scottish.
//think // not thing
And people in England are far too ready to destroy the UK too, it seems. You should be fighting to persuade the Scottish that the SNP is wrong to wish to leave, not shrugging your shoulders.
"I wish they'd go and have their independence if that's what they want"

But do we carry on until Indyref 66 bfore she gets wot SHE wants!! ;-)
'triggers Scottish fury' may be overstating things just a tad.

'Nation shrugs as serial liar, philanderer and general incompetent vomits another thought' might be closer to the truth.
Yes.

bobbi: "having said that I thing she's a little firebrand and a strong leader for Scotland , personally I wish they'd go and have their independence if that's what they want, why hold onto a people that clearly dislike everything England stand for? " - Strong? perhaps but she's leading them over a cliff. Let them have independence but that's not what she wants, she wants different dependence. The problem is that a) the EUSSR won't take her on and b) even if they do the conditions will be brutal. Then she'd wish she'd stayed.
"We now have the most Anti English Scottish leader since William Wallace"

Do you have examples to back up that claim?

turn off the Contrarian gene for once TCL, a blind man can see her seething hatred.
That'll be 'no' then.

....yes it seems invisible to her disciples though (09:17, 09:24)
As usual, people are confusing hatred of Westminster with hatred of England in general. There is rather an important difference.

Johnson's comments help nothing.
Question Author
yes jim but do you think devolution was and error?
If Scotland left the union, exactly what effect would that have on the rest of the UK? They need us more than we need them.
Jim, it's a two way thing, I don't hate the Scottish people but then I don't swipe at them at every opportunity, Sturgeon may not ( does not) swipe at English people , she's too clever for that but there's a nasty undercurrent of her rhetoric when she speaks that she might as well say so
