Bonanza time for a lot of the elite.

lol thermal box makers are now the elite?
That's your definition of elite?
You think the owners of the companies that make them will be plebs?
the article mentions a "global shortage of carbon dioxide from earlier this year" - I thought we were generating far more than we know what to do with
Nescio//global shortage of carbon dioxide//
I think it refers to solid carbon dioxide aka dry ice.
I think it will take more than eskies to keep the vaccine viable
I would have thought that the vaccine would have to be given at mass centres rather than GP surgeries as they wouldn`t have the means to keep it cold. They are already working on a powdered version so keeping it cold might not be a problem in the future.
As the first tier will include care home residents and staff, I think that the vaccinators will have to go to them. The other consideration is that its a two dose vaccine which is notorous for being problematic with the general public. Much easier for the vaccinator to go to places with a largely stable compliance controlled population either controlled because they can't leave (care homes) or controlled by existing work practice (army and NHS staff) people can still refuse of course but there will be less forgetfulness and all the other reasons why people don't attend appointments.
