Nothing like a good old purge to sort things out. But, in all seriousness, if this leads to the utter rejection of Corbynism within the Labour Party, and -- far more importantly -- the end of the ugly monster of Anti-Semitism -- then it will be well worth the angst. As an aside, I've kept this quiet for some time, but in fact I've known personally for a long time that...

i think this is more Jezza: https://tinyurl.com/y6yy6xxq
I’d actually be amazed if Corbyn has read that, but who knows
Me too, Ich.
More to Ken Livingstone's taste. He wasn't called Red Ken for nothing.
Wait...I do remember him reading something.

It was an email from Rosie.
sounds like the labour party is polarising, with "thousands" lining up behind JC, a gofundme pot of over £300,000 to fund any forthcoming legal action and Len McCluskey making all sorts of dark threats, etc. if JC not reinstated.

if the party were to split, which half would retain the rights to the party name?

SKS has realised that Labour will never be electable when they are riddled with hard left anti Semitic terrorist supporting loonies. Like Kinnochio in the 80s he's starting a purge. The difference between the current two camps in Labour is that the Corbynites are quite happy to be ideologically pure and out of power for ever. SKS wants the party to one day be electable. I think the country does need a decent opposition and at the moment we have Manu v Accrington Stanley. I think SKS is a decent bloke I hope he presses on.
Mushroom //f the party were to split, which half would retain the rights to the party name?//
I would think the one with Keir Starmer.
// I think SKS is a decent bloke I hope he presses on.//

we would do well to remember that Starmer served in Corbyn's shadow cabinet for 4 years. The Labour inner sanctum and all it's little secret ways and not once did he speak out or protest about the obvious racism or hatred. Indeed he has not done so now. He has suspended one man, suspended mind not expelled, which is hardly akin to taking a broom to the Augean stables is it. Window dressing with nothing to sell.

well it's all relative Togs, He's a lot better than Cob, I suspect he just went along with the Cob leadership rather than rock the boat.
TTT, 9:51 I agree totally.
I note our resident village clown is conspicuously absent from this thread. Perhaps he is in mourning. He usually writes stupid on here. Hope he hasn't done anything stupid like contributing to Jezza's go fund me for a bail out' campaign . :-(
Good riddance to Catweazle

laughing my bolls off
// He usually writes stupid on here.//
stupid compared to what for chrissakes - this is AB
The Labour Party will never “split”
What might happen is that the hard left form their own party, but I can’t see that. It would be like a parasite killing its host
Not sure the Conservative Party is exactly united at the moment.
It is very rare that a Prime Minister with a massive majority, is held in such distain by his own MPs. It has been a hell of a year, but Johnson does not look like he has another 4 years in him, he looks defeated already.

sunk: "It is very rare that a Prime Minister with a massive majority, is held in such distain by his own MPs." - yeah it's almost as if there is some sort of crisis going on!
//yeah it's almost as if there is some sort of crisis going on!//

All the more reason for his MPs to back him.
I’m amused at the idea that the current Tory party is Man U.
I’d have them down more as a team easily promoted from a weak championship last Christmas but finding life in the Premier league tough and with European elimination imminent :-)
Labour are still in the championship with a new manager trying to offload a few rubbish signings ...

I was merely trying to illustrate a gap in ability ich, if you like the government can be Accrington Stanley and the Labour party can be Dock side infants 11. Better?
