It's normal procedure for the Public Prosecutor/Investigator, in France ,to arrest all friends,family and associates of a Terrorist suspect.

They have to make sure he was working alone and those close to him are not involved.

It may be more to do with the fact that he is a Chechen and the possibility of a cell in Paris of fellow terrorist sympathisers.

Jackdaw33, hindley..i remember that, he said she was mmm a changed woman or something like that, why lawyers take on such cases is beyond me, must the money.. there are probably a lot of jihadist sleeper cells in europe and the uk..i dont why theres no swift justice for murdering jihadists..the world would be a better place without them instead thye live off the peole thye despise.

i think the link is in the nature of the Eastern male as a rule - very structured and keen to belong to something, coupled with a fierce temper and a belief that defending culture and religion is the most important thing - above life itself.

That is why I believe that the numbers of Muslim men who become radicalized and turn to violence is so high.

I have no evidence, it's just my personal view point, but I believe it has merit.

I think you'll find it's more a case of a belief in the legal system being operated correctly.

For a civilised society to run a proper system of law with the correct checks and balances, it must mean that everyone has the right to a fair trial, and that must include the best defence available.

Only if a proper defence has been mounted, and then the defendant been found guilty, can the society be sure that justice has been served.

I believe that lawyers who defend criminals are motivated by that need to provide a proper legal system that means justice can be just that - just.

Hindsight shows that his Lordship was as naive as he was well-meaning, and a cynical and manipulative Hyndley played good intentions like a violin.

Cynical indeed. She swiftly converted to Catholicism in prison. No doubt this had nothing to do with the fact that Longford was an ardent catholic.
