"On Tuesday, he told the party and the public that Labour deserved to lose the last election."
"On Wednesday, he told us that the party had "betrayed" voters by failing to win and "gifted the Tories a decade or more in power". - well that's a refreshing amount of realism from SKS. So much more honest than the myriad of labour supporters who think they can win an election any time soon. Yes Boris is on the ropes but he's Rocky and we know how that turns out!

Diddly, sorry to burst your bubble but Boris has got the better of Keir Starmer on quite a few exchanges in the HOC.

Hmm, not sure I share your optimism on Johnson. The man is finished I think.

Still get a better replacement come January and we are out and yes Labour is likely to be in the Wilderness for some time.

Sir Kier certainly is coming across a lot better, but then the bar was not exactly high with COB was it?

Agreed, but, for me, he is not a very convincing speaker.

YMB, Well, yes, Boris hasn't played a blinder of late but he must be gutted that he swept to power just at the wrong time. These are un precedented times and I don't think any government would have done any better or any different. He's had to merge science and politics and they don't generally fit. He has plenty of time to recover and get back to the important work of kicking Labour's April in 2024.
He’s Keir not Kier.
I hate to be pedantic but the latter gets typed a lot
Sir Keir is a 100% more convincing speaker than bumbling Boris who mumbles, muffs his lines and makes cheap, throwaway jibes when the going gets tough. He definitely is no match for Sir Keir.

uh, yeah, he lost. Great omen.

I don't see Boris winning another election, but Sunak might well do so.
Maybe SKS realises that honesty will go down well in the Dog & Duck?
//... Agreed, but, for me, he is not a very convincing speaker.//

Whether he is or not , does it matter ?

Look at DT - you could hardly call him convincing IMO , yet he won the US presidency
jno// but Sunak might well do so.//
The election is four years, so Boris plenty of time to bounce back.I don't think that Rishi Sunak has enough experience to become prime minister.
Javid and Sunak are still in the pay of Goldman Sachs.
dannyk, I think he will have had plenty of experience in four years' time. But it isn't up to the electors, it's up to the party members who vote on their leader. If they think Johnson is leading them to disaster, he'll be out on his ear as Thatcher was. And if I were one of them, Sunak's the man I'd go for - he's the only one who's looked competent in the whole Covid saga.
Not sure why the PMs situation has been capitalised.
so erm ....according to you - -
SKS ( Starmer the Charmer) is truthful and deserves a go at power - only possibly
and Boris the Bonker, liar fraud and twister
is a much better fellow and must win!

god - has to be AB !
// Javid and Sunak are still in the pay of Goldman Sachs.//
so TTT wiv his O level in frog-talk might quip ( forrin alert!)

Javid is reesh but Reeshi is reesher ! ( rich = riche in French je pense)
Starmer is only remotely convincing when he is lying.......like all lawyers.
The only good thing about SKier is that he rinses the floor with Johnson and hands him his *** at every PMQs. Let's face it that's easy.

Beyond that he is a centrist, more or less a tory, he'd make a better Conservative PM than Johnson.
Danny 13.56, " I don't think Rishi Sunak has enough experience to become prime minister" . It is quite obvious, that one does not need experience to become a Prime Minister, judging by the Clown we have as a PM at the moment
We?^^^^

Would that be a wee faux pas Gully?
