Instead of running around like headless chickens looking for a vaccine for every virus that comes along, may be we should look at the causes and tackle that problem. A lot of people either don't care, or completely dismiss climate change, or just hope it will go away, if they turn the other way. It won't be long before we are all scratching our heads wondering, and complaining about flooding again this year, and may be that's the only time, it hits home with many ( when it directly affects you).
During the full lock down the planet started to recover in many ways, so there's your proof if you really need it.
I dare say I will get it in the neck for mentioning climate change, but sadly that's how many respond to such, and that's why it will continue and get worse. And NO i don't approve of disrupting, creating problems in different parts of the country with over the top demonstrations. But we are not putting enough effort into curing the problem thats creating the viruses, are we?

Johnny...did you not look at the pictures of the beaches without tourist. The clips of dolphins surfing etc. I think the most worrying thing in this world is ignorance and stupidity. Why do people have to be told to cut the straps on their face masks in case they end up in our rivers and seas? I believe the world of 'cheap' is going to have to end if we're going to help...

What are the causes, teacake? And what has climate change to do with the pandemic?
During the full lock down the planet started to recover in many ways, so there's your proof if you really need it.

Where ????
Wow, so very clear now. Climate change created this virus.
Th e tiny improvements during full lockdown were very heartening but sadly they were too brief to make any long term difference.

We need a steadier more connected approach and I'm sure many of us wish we had better answers.

I believe the world of 'cheap' is going to have to end if we're going to help the planet.

Or do what Germany does and put vending like machines where you get money back for recycling plastic. That'll get the kids picking up litter.
Isn't this just another case of whataboutery? The pandemic needs to be dealt with, but not by the same people responsible for dealing with climate change or flood protection.

Thes two issues have nothing to do with one another, and both things can be tackled simultaneously.
"Johnny...did you not look at the pictures of the beaches without tourist. The clips of dolphins surfing etc"

Nothing to do with climate change, simply less humans, particularly in boats will mean fish will come in.

I dont thing there were any changines to the climate changing, yes pollution got better and that is certainly something to think about but the lockdown had zilch effect on Nature changing our climate.

We need to live with the fact that the climate changes. Has done for millennia and will continue to do so for Millennia to come. So dont build on flood plains or near cliff edges and adjust crops etc to the prevailing conditions of the time.
Humans can make a difference but they need to be educated. First lesson...use a friggin bin!

12.45 @12.46 A good example of people not listening. The planet has been burning for months, and humans have been polluting for years. What has the virus got to do with climate change. If the wildlife habitat is burning, then the wildlife come nearer to were humans live for safety and because they have no choice, hence they pass on viruses that they carry to humans. If you can't see that then there's little hope.
"hence they pass on viruses that they carry to humans."

Hmm, you might like to rethink that one.
Umm, I couldnt agree more.

Ruddy masks were all up the street the other day. I think they had come out the dustcart as it had been through in the morning.
Certain Asian countries will still eat them though.

^^Why?

to 13.27 ^^
So fires cause animals to move nearer to humans and so we catch virus's like corona and flu, AIDS, SARS, measles, TB. A never knew. You better let the scientists know
It's awful, YMB. The only solution I can think of is to put bins on every single street.
Question Author
13.28 Yes , your right, eating none domestic animals is very dangerous, that's just part the problem I'm on about, humans are inflicting these viruses up on one self.
Your right about plastic face masks though, There all over the pavement and in bushes. Whod they think will want to pick them up
Question Author
13.30 You're learning fast. bobb.
Question Author
13.30 ummmm, idiots go around destroying bins for fun/ setting alight to them, or bashing them to bits.
