The government has given itself two weeks for its “rule of six” coronavirus law to work before it reimposes tougher lockdown measures

Let’s hope new rule works then. I don’t know if enough folk are taking it seriously

Recently friends, family and clients of my daughter, who
are residents here on the Algarve, have all returned to the UK for short visits. With no exception they have all said they will not be going back to the UK as they were very concerned with the lack of mask wearing, social distancing, shopping and pub and bar behaviour. They did not feel safe
What measure will they use to see "if it works"?
one presumes new infections NJ
Having just spent a two day break in Perth, Dundee and surrounds I can confirm that it's being taken seriously in those areas at the moment but I can't see how it can happen with a tide of drink fuelled youth on the march at the weekend.
If, as the government have promised, they are working 'very hard' to sort out the mess surrounding testing, then surely, in two weeks time, many, many more people will be tested Covid 19 positive?
//The government has given itself two weeks for its “rule of six” coronavirus law to work before it reimposes tougher lockdown measures //

if it doesn't work, the government will of course blame the public for not complying.
Moved to News.
'Very hard' means little, Ken, 'inCREDibly hard' that's the key phrase tonlisten out for.

You know there's a blizzard of bright ideas coming then.
they're probab'y "straining every sinew" as dominic raab used to say
So when they've tried 'incredibly hard' and stretched 'every sinew', we have been promised half a million tests per day. Lovely.
A man can dream.
Didn't say i believed them, Douglas, nor that i think they'll hit their target :-/
Forget any tougher lockdown, the economy is too important to strangle it any further. There are still negligible deaths.
Rule of 6 doesn't apply to grouse shooting, pubs, restaurants, churches, weddings, funerals, cinemas, shops, etc.
But you cant have your family around for a dinner?
Load of cobblers.
//I don’t know if enough folk are taking it seriously//
I take the virus seriously, just cant take the present government 'guidlines' seriously.
Load of cobblers eh? So what's your suggestion, nailit? Vlose shops, restaurants etc? Unless we close everything we need to prioritise- so what are your priorities?
Unless it's a Bullingdon Club dinner.
Matt has a cunning plan he is gonna blame it on the pony express
//Load of cobblers eh? So what's your suggestion, nailit? Vlose shops, restaurants etc?//
A bit of uniformity would be a start.
Cant meet with extended family in your own home but can mingle with strangers in the pub??
Really?
FF. You seem to believe anything and everything you're told about Covid. Seems rather strange behavior to me.
