People say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is pornography. If a child eating a banana leaning against a car is considered provocative, I suggest the fault lies with the viewer, not the picture.

It's not in the best possible taste, is it? Especially with the strap line, "Lets your heart beat faster - in every aspect."
Erm...given the car manufacturers’ old penchant for scantily clad ladies posing on car bonnets (and the obvious thing about the banana), you can can see why people are a bit upset about that pic.
Not sure entirely what they think is provocative. Is it the banana?

It's one of those pictures that, if you look really hard, you can find something - especially the permanently offended.

Still, we are now ruled by theses sort of people, we walked into it with eyes closed so only us to blame.

As we are fast heading towards a Police State expect much more of this particularly once the Stasi have their collaborator network setup.

I was thinking that but didn't know how to 'put it'.
Whichever way you look at it, it's a crap advert for selling a car. They just like the controversy as most of us wouldn't have seen it otherwise. The simple 'Rule of Three' (Conservatives can have that slogan for free)
1. Create a controversy - generate attention/coverage
2. Apologise - get more attention/coverage/sales
3. Repeat

The people who designed the ad must have thought it provocative, otherwise why do it?
They could have made her eat an apple instead of a banana.
Or they could have not had her there at all.
A picture of child eating a banana does not make my heart beat faster - nor does an image of a car. It is the strapline that makes it wrong.
vulcan, fair point. So if a man said that they saw that little girl, eating a banana, in front of a car, and the image made their heart race so they bought the car, you'd be happy for him right? I know Audi drivers are inconsiderate twonks, but ....really....

I see it as just another naff car advert.

They say provocative, I see a little girl eating a banana. I don't see how she helps Audi sell cars, but I think it takes a special kind of mind to see anything sexually provocative in that ad.

Well, ILM, Eve took a bite of the apple, coaxed Adam into doing so, and fornication was invented.
I fail to see how a child eating a banana in front of car has any impact on your choice of motor. I would suggest that Audi knew damn fine well what 'outrage' this would cause and are now revelling in the publicity it has created, especially in the current economic climate where car sales have fallen dramatically.
Only your dirty mind could have come up with that one.
