After repeatedly letting down this once great nation, most recently over the Last Night Of The Proms songs, the left wing BBC omitted to include Labour MP Tom Watson from last night’s documentary on Carl Beech, despite Watson’s scandalous key role in that fiasco. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8652661/BBC-edits-Nick-documentary-victims-say-Tom-Watsons-role-scandal-airbrushed.html
Should the BBC now be scrapped?

That’s not good enough, Ken. We’re paying for a service that we expect to be impartial. It is not.

No
But the licence should be.
No
The expenses of the BBC are scandalous, along with proliflicate spending on increasing diversity to already over subscribed ethnic personnel.
It needs an executive from the private sector to tame an axe rather than a scalpel to operate on this overblown leftie blimp.
Sadly, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the BBC can no longer be relied upon to report impartially and therefore it is not fit for purpose.
Most definitely not, NO!

I'd be interested to see the stats you are using, Theland.

I have noticed many TV adverts are featuring a lot more people to ensure diverse groups are covered
The BBC IS fit for purpose.

The questions are very easy today.
Which question are people answering?

;-)
Gromit //The BBC IS fit for purpose//
But for what purpose, spreading woke propaganda?
Are we not constantly reminded on these pages that we nearly all possess remote control facility. If you don't agree with what is being offered, switch off/over. Do not watch. Certainly don't watch just in order to complain like a modern day Mary Whitehouse.
That’s not good enough, Ken. We’re paying for a service that we expect to be impartial. It is not.
A lot of the problem I've always thought is that so much of the print media is indeed biased, a lack of same by the main broadcast media can look like bias the other way.
It's a claim made all the time by some, but few examples are ever given and the status quo is conveniently ignored.
There are news stories that they completely ignore until forced to report on them by public outcry.
For example, asylum seekers living in four star hotels.
Not a peep from Aunty until Nigel Farage highlighted it.
In my case, ich, the last one in the OP.
That is a classic example of what I mean!
Theland's example that is ...
If we are in the businees of fact-checking and bias ..
