And just to add, if you didn't already know,? the chances are of catching it is 1 in 4000.
the chance of catching it through being on a train are even less - 1 in 11,000. that figure makes no allowance for the wearing of face coverings.

* Turn off your Caps lock.
ah, a freemen of the land, eh fiddzfungi?

that particular defence has been tested frequently in court, and has almost invariably failed.
mushroom25 your text reminded me..
that in cleethorpes all the chippys take cash only when all around want cards only mainly due to covid.. such a backward town
If you want an entertaining trip out, try to find out when a "Freeman on the Land" is appearing at your local Magistrates' Court. It's not easy to find out but sometimes your local rag might publish details of such a case that is coming up. It's an absolute crease (as you might gather from the 15:47 post).

Too late, ah well.
Interesting article in today’s Times about rules in masks in the USA during the Spanish flu epidemic, and how it led to violent protests.
Very like today a lot of the arguments for and against.
Anyway, football fans are BACK in the stadiums in N Ireland (mask-wearing optional). That is progress!
Oh dear I said BACK!
In the link that Bazile has put on, it says masks do not need to be worn in pubs, restaurants and cafe's, unless you are going for a takeaway. Surely these places would come under the heading of indoor places where you are likely to come into contact with people who are not members of your household where you would have to wear a face mask? Places like Cinemas, Places of Worship, Museums etc.
Well you learn something new every day - I had never heard of the Freemen of the Land before, so have just read up on them in Wiki.

They’re nutcases.
Barsel no good going to a restaurant or pub if you can't open your mouth to take in food or drink.
I still think that if wearing a mask helps to keep me from spreading the virus then my wearing a mask helps protect me from other people who may spread the virus. Both of us are given a bit of protection.
ladybirder True, but you could wear it until you are seated and wear again if you need to go to the loo or the bar.
Constantly taking the same one on and off negates the whole purpose unless you take a batch of clean bagged ones with you and sanitise before and after any removal.
