Or is she looking to visit nettie in Ibiza?

Bolton, Oldham, Blackburn, Rochdale and Old Trafford under the gun as well as Bradford, Halifax and 'uddersfield....is the Eid related in this as to the number of folk in many houses as well as a direct snub to the isolation restrictions....?

Must be a shock for Mamya and others who live in these towns/cities as one or two in a household!?

Conclusive proof the Government have totally lost the plot.
Yes, Eid has been a worry for the last week. The areas experiencing spikes over the last 2 weeks are predominantly Asian heritage areas. They should have announced this earlier in the week if it was an option. It's a bit late for people to change plans now and I doubt there will be much compliance anyway based on what's been happening and the claimed lack of awareness/clarity

Better than another national lockdown, though a lot of us down here in the Duchy, with a local r factor running at

I'd prefer it if you would use the correct name for the town of my birth please - Bolton.

You're not big nor are you funny.

Come on, Monty Python started the bastardisation of the name Bolton.....
That wasn't funny either.

However it 'stuck'.......that is not the issue though.....how do you feel about re-entering lock down (with some variance - and why have they left pub etc open, from what the News as has said). I for one would be fuming down here if we have to re-enter lockdown, the area having achieved so much in 'fighting' it - and now we are under threat from all these London et al. visitors.....

It's not 're-entering lockdown' though, is it, DTC. The only restrictions are that 2 or more families who can't meet indoors in someone's house. You identified the primary reason- Eid- and family/large gatherings where distancing isn't observed for various reasons.

true, fiction.....this is an argument that has been bouncing around my daughter's bf's household - he's working the Eid though - a medic in the West Yorkshire area......
Personally I will not be greatly affected, other family and friends may well be - it's early days yet and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Hope that it doesn't impact too much on you.....we really have a split community down here as to tourist incomers - those who want the economy kick-started verus 'keep the virus out' and arguments around this are not going away in the near future.

Policies seem to have been devised by David Walliams.

Bitty.
