My last two dogs have been ok with bangs and fireworks. We live in the middle of a shooting area. However two other dogs of ours have been terrified. My son's dog is a nervous wreck in storms, shooting, fire works etc. Non of our dogs have been wimpish dogs whatever that might mean. It's not just pets that fire works disturb though. I can see so reason for fireworks other than at organised displays.
Fireworks in the hands of most of the general public are so dangerous. Proper dis plays are the way to go, imho.
firworks scare the hell out of dog, and im sure other pets...
ban them for sale to the public, public displays only, as was mentioned
some idiots let them off al year long, i assume they buy them in bulk
where i live..must be loaded or there stolen.
Those that signed the petition should now have an update via email.

Please don't be down heartened by the response. Its intended to make people think its not worth any more effort. They make a similar repsonse every year and every year we ignore it and push on. Each year the petition gets more signatures faster. I notice too that on here each year more people agree that firework use is out of hand.
Signed!
Thank you woofgang for raising this pain in the ar** annual issue!
Onwards and upwards woof!

Tried to sign 5 times, it does not recognise my postcode, so it won't get signed.
Signed last month.

thank you all. Balders, can you nick a postcode from any website that has addresses on it eg "contact us"
fireworks are truly a nuisance, organised public display only..not for resale...bang bang bang, and more bang..if you have pets, it's a nightmare, sometimes life or death...doubters say err it's a bit of fun.
i say...put one up your jacksy then.
The desires of the many outweighs the fears of the few.
Thanks Spock. Where’s there’s money to be made conscience takes a pew.
david small, so true sadly, bit like the illegal dinghy arrivals in 4 star hotels and a weekly stipend, how many now 4000 odd, what the maths on that cost.
I'll never sign and some of you should find something more worthwhile to do with your time. I LOVE fireworks.
diddlydo, you must be deaf and your pets, if you have any, or were they taken away from you...if you like fireworks and have pets, then you have no idea..it's traumatic for some lovely animals, high pitched
bangs...thye hear far more then humans..deafening is not the word.
So do most people when they handled by the right people in safety and at organised events that are notified in advance. Most people respect their neighbours and their environment. Some people are just plain selfish.
I'm not deaf and I don't do pets but I've never heard fireworks that are as deafening as some people seem to claim.
