Have only seen the announcement of the Scottish scheme.
And the money to fund the Scottish scheme will be funded by the English taxpayer.
It's actually an extra £230 on top of the usual June payment Jesmond, in Scotland.

According to this.

We subsidise Scotland far too much and sorry i thought it was £500 but obvs it isnt
Why not move up there then and reap the benefits?
'We' - do you mean England jesmond?
Do England not subsidise Wales and Northern Ireland as well or just Scotland?
I'm curious.
Is there an English Department dishing out this dosh by the way? Do they collect only the tax paid in England?
I would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL you english who send me cash every week .
English. E is upper case.
You should do a message line for the things you need more money for.

We as in we subsidise far too many countries and i would love to move to Scotland but only if they said i could reap all the benefits they currently have and i could get as soon as i move there rather than have to wait the 2 years for some of them to kick in as i am currently paying towards them
It's strange, Scotland has been told to get in line with the rest of the UK time and time again on here but suddenly it's "Why are we all subsidising this Scottish payment" when they announce a scheme like this one.

The question should be, "Why aren't we doing the same in England to help out and gives thanks to the carers?"
It was hinted at some months ago that this would happen in England too, I can find no further news on that.

Disappointing, it's a job that saves the Country huge amounts year on year.
You stay where you are jesmond .
Good God jesmond, why would you want to go and live in scotland??
Can you not see that apparently, folk in Scotland are living it up at your expense?
//....and i would love to move to Scotland but only if they said i could reap all the benefits they currently have and i could get as soon as i move there rather than have to wait the 2 years for some of them to kick in as i am currently paying towards them//

The best benefit would be instant, you’d no longer be in england
