Not that difficult to reconcile the two positions. It's not unlike the difference between being conservative and being Conservative.
They wouldn't have had to distance themselves if they hadn't jumped on the band-wagon in the first place.
I think the F.A. did jump to convince themselves that they were actively battling racism in football.
(just my opinion which won't matter, but I do think the F.A. live up or down, to their alternative name)
Don't forget the SFA. :-)
What's your question? There is black lives matter the slogan and black lives matter the political organisation. They're distancing themselves from the organisation.
lol, Dougie, I try and fail often :-)) x
I said this the other day.

Absolute nonsense, Jim.

There's many high profile loudmouth's on twitter now distancing themselves from the 'political' stance of BLM.

It seems the choice of wording for the movement was a stroke of genius...it has disoriented lots of intelligent idiots.
Loudmouths, often.
Bandwagon jumpers, usually.
Idiots, definitely.
Intelligent? Meh, in their own heads maybe.
See tomas's post. BLMUK isn't the same as BLM, which in turn isn't the same as recognising that black lives matter.
Can't you ever admit to being wrong, Jim. Again?

Correct about what?

The 'there are two "Black Lives Matters": the organisation and the movement.' is smokescreen nonsense.
Correct when I said "the players are supporting the movement, not the organisation. i.e. they're supporting the concept of the dismantling of systemic racism in society." The article confirms as much.

The organisation is a gift to those against both the movement AND the organisation, who happily conflate the two into one to suit their own purposes ... which are generally in opposition to the concept of the dismantling of systemic racism in society.
Question Author
Which came first the organisation or the movement?
And then guess my next question.

By the way...you keep trying to insinuate that anyone who doesn't agree with you is in some way racist...what name do you have for black people who do not agree with you?
I'm not trying to insinuate anything. How you read my posts is up to you.
The movement "Black Lives Matter" has existed since 2013. Its seventh birthday is coming up later this month, on July 13th.

The organisation "Black Lives Matter" has existed since 2017.

The movement has more supporters than the organisation. For example, it seems that the Premier League supports the movement but not the organisation.

'And then guess my next question.'

Did you guess correctly?
The BLM movement ,unfortunately, has been infiltrated by militant anarchists who are only interested in causing as much vandalism etc as they can.

''The movement has more supporters than the organisation. For example, it seems that the Premier League supports the movement but not the organisation.''

So the premier league support de-funding the police and closing prisons do they?
I don't think that stance will go down well with the silent majority...have you got a link?
