Absolutely no truth in the rumour that it's to be known as Hair Farce One.

Nice looking airplane, but it sounds like a lot of money for a paint-job. I imagine quite a few people will get into a flap.
Untied Kingdom could've been expensive
It's prettier now
sanmac, I don't believe that people are allowed in the ailerons ;)
Choux you are not supposed to use words that need to be looked up in a dictionary.
:-)
I remember decades ago when Mrs Thatcher was viewing the new BA livery 9n a model plane. She did not approve and took a hankie from her handbag and covered the tailannouncing that it was an improvement.
Sorry, wolf ;)
This new look has been designed to promote the UK around the world, and will still be able to act as a military support plane if necessary.
Choux, you noticed my modicum of humour there. I was hoping it would take off:)
I do like a modicom, sanmac.
I think it's rather splendid.
It's a smart job for sure, but is it necessary? I assume it still contains all the secret communcations gubbins? They haven't been upgraded have they? It only transports the PM. I don't see the need for a jazzed up piece of showing off. Tis our money is it not? Off with his head!
The £900,000 of RAF Voyager - the plane used by the Royal Family AND the Prime Minister. From the OP Link.
It's very smart.
I'd have done it just as good for a lot less :-)
Nice to see our flag flying again.
It's fine. NHS nurses don't need a pay rise and there's more PPE than we know what to do with at the moment.
By jove, JimF, I must say, old chap, that the jolly old Empire needs a symbol that emphatically states our dominance. (Twirls mustache, stomps foot on ground, adjusts monocle, and strikes swagger-stick against jodhpurs.)
JimF at 11.46pm.

Whenever there's any Government spending that some people wrongly think is frivolous, the nurses pay comment will almost inevitably follow.

£900k will give each nurse a one-off payment of £1.36.

I wonder what they'll treat themselves to.

Maybe Mr Desmond paid as a no-strings national pride kind of thing.

He has form in that department. :-P
