BLM have targeted 60 Statues and Plaques. Their choices are bizzare. Will we now have black stabbing victims picking and choosing what hospitals save their lives. They apparently now don't appreciate Guy's hospital. I am sure Guys didn't turn them away when they were bleeding to death.
Arms manufacture and Engineer Armstrong. Obviously BLM would have sooner lived under a Nazi regime. Armstrong Company manufactured the Armstrong Whiteley Bomber in the 2nd W.W.

Horatio Nelson, Drake et al. It has to stop. Full list in Link

Gherkin: 'However, those who are retaliating to the aggressive police presence,' I don't know what you were watching but I saw a bunch of coppers being commendably restrained in the face of extreme provocation. Copers who weren't allowed to wear beat helmets which might have offered some protection. Coppers who weren't allowed to wear crash helmets and...

"no kind of death was too cruel".
"They would've here, without the vioence and looting."

History tells us differently. How many protests for racial equality do you think there have been? None of them have worked.

Do you remember stand up speak up? That was futile.
Black people are 2.5 more likely to die, shoota.
change the record jim, if he'd not been committing crimes he would not have been there.
I'll change the record when you start listening to reason.

He was responsible for the actions that led to his arrest. The police are responsible for the actions that led to his death. The police should face justice for the crime of killing someone in their custody.
why don't they all get together, form a political party, stand for election and win, then they can legally do what they like.
"I challenge you to provide evidence of Police aggression."

Shoota, there is no need! Roy already has a thread running in chatterbank. https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Society-and-Culture/Question1710267.html

The aggressive presence I was talking about was US police officers.
but jim, surely you can see that he would not even have been there had he not been a lowlife criminal. Why is that beyond your comprehension?
If we let them do it, they will, plus more and more. If we stop them doing it, they will refrain. Simple really.
They misbehave, they get punished, hard.
Which bit of my post indicates that I don't accept that? But the minute the police started killing him rather than arresting him, the police are the ones at fault.
ToraToraTora, would you feel the same if it was a family member who died under the knee of a police officer? Or even if this happened in the UK, would your attitude be similar?

Would you say at the funeral something along the lines of "I miss my deer brother / uncle / father but then again, if he wasn't breaking the law the police wouldn't have murdered him".

Of course you wouldn't.
This is, incidentally, your own point, and it's a shame that you can't see it. Constantly going on about Floyd shows that what matters to you is that people take personal responsibility for their own crimes. Quite so. The police deserve to take responsibility for their crime.

As I initiated this OP I will allow myself to take it slightly off topic.
I believe now is the time for the Spathyllium to shoot up again. It comes up under different genres but the foliage is the same.
25% higher chance of a violent white criminal dying at the hands of US police than a violent black criminal.
Last year 9 black men killed by US police, 19 white.
10mins 40 secs et seq.
You really are being a total clapper in your defence of Chauvin, TTT
//but jim, surely you can see that he would not even have been there had he not been a lowlife criminal. //

Can't you see that it is completely irrelevant? I agree that he should never have been portrayed as an angel, as he wad a previous offender, but regardless of why he was there, he should not have been treated as he was.

It's like saying that if Rodney King wasn't drunk driving, he wouldn't have been beaten up by those traffic cops in 1992.

Or, even worse, if a rape victim wasn't wearing a short skirt, she wouldn't have been raped.

Victim blaming is just not right.
//If we let them do it, they will, plus more and more. If we stop them doing it, they will refrain. Simple really.

Are you talking about the rioters, the plods, or both?
Sorry Retro, you're right. We've demolished your thread. I'll stop posting here, hopefully others may follow, but I won't hold my breath. Out.
All about have you do the sums, Shoota. Personally I agree with the way Candice does the figures but the other figure is also correct.
Shoota I'm not sure that an American conservative commentator and political activist represents the majority of the black american community. That is just a guess, though.
