Just listened to the Labour leader on PMs questions, what a boring man he seems to be, one tone Starmer!
Labour have no hope under his leadership, looks like i'll be 'lending' my vote to the Tories for sometime to come.

Did Ken and other have to forward the questions they were going to ask the Tory leader during this question time .
I just caught this gem
KS "I wrote to you about re opening schools and you never replied"
BJ "no because I phoned you"

I mean come along Keir....
Well, he doesn't really have a lot to do at the moment does he?
//KS "I wrote to you about re opening schools and you never replied"// - brutal! PMSL! As opposing goes that's about as wet as it gets! I can't see Steer Calmer getting anywhere near no 10!
Edmund//Well, he doesn't really have a lot to do at the moment does he?/Why not he is the leader of the opposition.? I'm sure that he could find plenty to do.
sniff "and I did it confidentially because I didn't want to make capital of it" "sniff"....reaches for handkerchief "and I have been CRITICISED for supporting you" "I have had enough you are a BRUTE....I am going home to mother"

well he didn't really say the last bit
Charismatic he aint. The personality bypass operation was a roaring success.
I'd rather him than Corbyn.
oh me too... but a believable leader of the country?
Sir Keir might not be charismatic but he knows how to get to Johnson.
by sobbing "you never answered my letter"?
I'll wait to see his policies before judging his suitability for leadership.

Let's be honest, the Tories have had a few personality free leaders in the past too: May, IDS, Major....
//KS "I wrote to you about re opening schools and you never replied"
BJ "no because I phoned you" //

Classic! :o)))
motherhood apple pie and socialism https://keirstarmer.com/plans/10-pledges/
naomi those weren't the exact words but that was the gist :)
Interesting how different perspectives can be. I was struck by the line about how Johnson was "confusing scrutiny for attack", which is clearly important. It's the whole point of PMQs to ask awkward questions, after all. I haven't seen the full session because I don't watch it as a rule, so missed the exchange mentioned at 13.25 which undermines Starmer rather.

On the other hand, the biggest takeaway I think should be Johnson's saying "I take full responsibility for everything this government has been doing in tackling coronavirus, and I’m very proud of our record." Leaving aside the question about whether or not he should be proud, the whole point about taking "full responsibility" is that it's usually followed by an admission of guilt, rather than for how brilliant things are. Either take full responsibility or explain that things have gone (relatively) well. Not both.
tigs: "I'd rather him than Corbyn" - in the same way you'd rather have smallpox than ebola?
"No because I phoned you" and the cheque's in the post. :-)
//Either take full responsibility....//

He has. Playing with words doesn't change that.
Again, an oddly selective quote. My point is that the full quote saw him take "full responsibility" for something that he is "very proud" of. That isn't what taking full responsibility is about.
