As if the government haven't got enough on their plate to deal with all the flak from the armchair 'know alls' and meaningless statistics it would seem another group is out there to try to thwart their every step.
Now we have scammers already posing as NHS track and tracers team members and the scheme hasn't fully got off the ground. I am optimistic there will be an end to this pandemic but people like this will only promote more distrust and prolong it

Sorry. Wrong link. I will try to find the correct one.
40,000 dead by the end of the week.
The one thing that this pandemic has brought out is that a lot of the public are idiots who cannot see that their actions are going to prolong any measures formulated to counteract Covid19.
gromit you seem to be enjoying it.

TTT
//gromit you seem to be enjoying it. //

It appears the OP mentioned here by chilldoubt was our very own bored shop boy Gromit who stated he was going down the pub irrespective.

//ChillDoubt

Did my first 2 hour stint on ITU/HDU today with 10 ventilated patients, youngest is aged 25.

Sadly, the attitude of the OP poster(I’m still going to the pub regardless) when this first broke and that of 10ClarionSt means I’ll be doing many more.
Do as you’re told, comply, stay in, don’t put me and others at risk.
It’s that simple. //
TTT, we are not at war.Do refrain from attempting to exacerbate the situation.

TTT,
// We need a proper app, now, forced on all //

Forcing everyone to use an app that doesn’t work is one of your more bonkers suggestions.

The Government have been working on an app for weeks, but it still doesn’t work. It was promised for 1st June, but mow they say it will be deployed at the end of June (don’t hold your breath.
9.49 " Start taking the necessary measures" should they not have started back in, at least the beginning of March? :0)
hmm I wonder what the patter is
and what info they are phisihng for
that's a register and sign in website
// 9.49 " Start taking the necessary measures" //

and what are they? oh I know ! lets ask all the armchair experts on AB !
Google and Apple embedded software (and APIs) into their phone operating systems which meant that developing an app was really really easy.

But the Government decided to ignore that and develop an unproven app from scratch. Testing is taking a very long time, indicating lots of problems.

Most of the other developed countries had their apps out weeks ago, resulting in their easing of lockdown being controlled and informed by reliable data.

Here in the UK, we will only know if easing of lockdown isn’t working, when the pile of dead bodies mounts up again.
Question Author "Not the original 'Metro' link I had been reading but this police alert describes what is happening."

ermm no, it says what is likely to happen and gives information on what to look out for.
