I'm sure it will teach the whole family a lesson and they will all be good people in future.
He didn't care about his son's safety and wellbeing when he decided to speed whilst drunk driving, uninsured and failing to stop.
yeah jesus that ll teach the three year old to be a good boy!
on the lunch time news oop t Norf
occurred in Sarf Manch somewhere

'said to show someone being tasered' - blimey it looked like it to me ! ....thereafter the nice policeman tried to calm the child
erm does anyone mind me observing that he wasnt trying to drive whilst tasered
silly point I know
not ott ,if he was drunk he was endangering not only his son but other people as well
So PP re you suggesting he was planning on spending the night at the petrol staion?
Trouble with videos like this, we never see what happened before. Only part of the story.
I think that the officers could have subdued him without having to use a taser.Yes, a bit ott.
surely however they "subdued him" would have been frightening to his son? Apart from that I don't think we have enough information.
It is awful to watch and ideally could have been handled better, we'll have to see what the IOPC say after reviewing the case.
He was also remanded in custody after appearing before Magistrates which is unusual for such offences. In order for the court to do that they must have been presented with evidence for them to have reason to believe he may either abscond, commit further offences or interfere with the course of justice. So there is obviously much more to this than we or Dionne Allman (who recorded the footage and who branded the actions of the police as "disgusting and appalling") know about.
I wonder if anybody realised the police were using a device which created a lovely spark in the environs of a fuel station.
he's luck the septics would have shot him. It'd not have ben necessary to use the tazer if he'd cooperated. Not ott in my view.
He could have stood quietly and co-operated.
He didn't have to shout and argue.
He didn't have to make sudden movements with his head towards the officer on the right.
He didn't have to pull his arm away and swing it about...
Not OTT at all.
People who havn't been there do not know how difficult it is to subdue a well muscled drunk.
Spot on TTT. Considering he was charged with everything but the Gunpowder Plot he got off lightly with a shock. A few years ago he would be answering charges under The Children and Young Persons Act as well. The man's no father figure and a potential killer.
If he was issed he got what he deserved. There's a few on AB who will blame the police whatever the evidence.
//He didn't care about his son's safety and wellbeing when he decided to speed whilst drunk driving, uninsured and failing to stop.//

Did you get this information from anywhere inparticular, or did you just pull it out of thin air?

The videoer: "I don’t know what the man did or was accused of"

So difficult really to be sure if the tasering was justified or not, but sometimes plod does enjoy a good tasering.
Retro, are you really saying that in our day two officers could not have arrested him?. It does not matter what offences he has committed, unless the man was a danger to the officers they had no need to use a taser, and certainly not while he was on the ground.
BA to Shoota
'but sometimes plod does enjoy a good tasering.'
Do they?
What do you base that on?
