//The only reliable figures are death rates//

I apologise, I meant to say the number of people dying, the death rates can't be relied on. Put another way, what I was trying to say is that the people dying of the virus in Spain at the moment probably got it before the lockdown began.
Wrong.....That second paragraph was Linden's statement and it is here again with his second point.

“The principles of prioritisation say that we should prioritise on the basis of medical needs and that all people have equal value. It means for someone who works in the healthcare industry that it is the people you have ahead of you, then you should not think about legal status, citizenship or so, but it is the medical need that should govern,” he said.

“Another question is what the regions do with people who may not have residence permits such as ‘paperless’ and others. It is important, partly for them to receive care but also for the protection of the infection to work. Both for those individuals and for society at large, it can be important that they receive care to stop the spread of infection,” Lindén added.
Alternative reading: Sweden is prioritising the care of already-sick people over not-yet-sick people. Which on the face of it seems rather reasonable.
I meant the second paragraph of your post Togo. As I suspect you realised I meant. That is, as I said, a comment by the Breitbart correspondent which on the face of it at the very least completely misrepresents the Swedish policy and for the sake of what?
It seems there’s no escape from this pernicious propaganda even at times like this.
I notice they insist on calling it the “Chinese Coronavirus” too
//I notice they insist on calling it the “Chinese Coronavirus” too //

I can't see a problem with that. It came from China.
...did it not originate in China?
I think it all depends who is doubt the calling.
When someone casually calls it “that Chinese virus” down the pub (not that they’ll be doing that anywhere but Minsk these days) it’s no big deal. When Breitbart does it on the other hand ..
It’s a shame their supporters are so coy about quoting them as a sourde
Since when did viruses have a nationality?
> sourde

Is that what you get when you mix source and turd?
Lol
I wish it was
Epidemics often (usually ?) pick up the name of the country of origin. i.e. Spanish flu, etc.
This one hasn’t tho.
Just because you are uncomfortable with the reality it doesn't make it untrue. This is another statement from the Director-General of the Swedish National Board of Health Olivia Wigzell when speaking at a press conference saying that the authority was looking at triage measures that are often used in a crisis situation when resources are unable to cope with the volume of cases.

“It includes priorities that have an ethical dimension, absolutely. It should be a support for the professionals in the priorities that will… can be very difficult,”

ie. The Swedes will abandon their grandparents and elderly but give treatment to immigrants even if they do not have identification papers or a legal right to be there. The only difference between them and us being that here it will happen here without an "official" acknowledgement.
The term “Spanish” flu only came about because there were a lot of press reports at the time of its effect on Spain.
I don’t think the source was ever established
It isn’t the reality
You are quoting heavily slanted opinion from a far right website and what is more failing to acknowledge it as such
//Just because you are uncomfortable with the reality it doesn't make it untrue.//

And just because an article fits nicely with your own opinion, doesn't make that true either.
I learnt that the Spanish Flu actually originated on a hill billy farm in Oklahoma. A young man caught it from some animal, a chicken or pig, can't remember, and then was drafted into WW1. He infected a transport ship going to Europe and then all hell broke loose.
> ie. The Swedes will abandon their grandparents and elderly but give treatment to immigrants even if they do not have identification papers or a legal right to be there.

No, not "ie." at all.
The only sensible medical priority is to treat the sick. The virus doesn't discriminate between Swedish nationals and illegal immigrants, so why should the doctors?
// The virus doesn't discriminate between Swedish nationals and illegal immigrants, so why should the doctors?//

Ahhh but the Doctors will. They will not treat the elderly when resources are low but will treat the illegal immigrants......I call that discrimination you call it triage.
