I have, so here’s hoping.

// The coronavirus could have infected as much as half of the the UK’s population, according to researchers at the University of Oxford. If accurate, the results would mean the country has already acquired substantial “herd immunity” through the unrecognised spread of the illness.

The shutdown across the UK could be removed much sooner expected if the findings are confirmed //

A light on the horizon perhaps?

The light on the horizon is my TV screen. Stay Indoors people.
Maybe, Naomi. Hopefully:-)). Though it could also be clutching at straws:-(

TD, put the brakes on! No one is suggesting that people don't need to stay indoors ... not even the experts at Oxford.

We'll have to wait and see, Ken, but it would be nice to think that one expert is just as expert as the next ... even if they do disagree. ;o)
The GP surgery I work with suggested this may have been around in December. Until they start testing for immunity, if they do, it won't be able to affect the shutdown.
It would be interesting, and indeed good news, if correct. Also slightly unfortunate that Johnson pivoted from what may have been after all the correct approach, although to be sure I'd rather he be too cautious than not cautious enough.
I had a cold from the beginning of last week for a few days, more snotting and sneezing than a cough... so have being self isolating a bit longer than when it was suggested.

Totally fine now, just feel a bit confined to quaters ;-)
I've had a cold and it did worry me, but I treated it as a cold and didn't panic (much!) and eventually I got better. I often wonder though if it was the virus and I was just lucky.
If there was a coronavirus test to see if you have HAD it, I would take it. I would not take a test to see if I HAVE it. Only one to determine if i have had it.
Always have a productive cough and runny nose when breathless which is all the time.
I really hope soNaomi, my daughter has it right now and is self isolating , it’s not a severe bout but I enough to see her drifting in and out of sleep all day with a active temperature ( I’m worried) for her, my son in law and grandson just now
Hmm, that's interesting. Around mid Feb I became really unwell, it started with a raging headache followed by sore glands, aching body, going hot and cold, tickly cough and extreme fatigue. I felt horrendous somedays and just wanted to sleep. I put it down to a combination of fibromyalgia and maybe some bug or other. It went on for well over two weeks and if I felt like that now I'd be convinced I had coronavirus.

I had a mild sore throat week before last. Don't think that's one the symptom list though.
oops sorry about the gap, I'm just social distancing :)

Jim, that makes no sense. If you’d rather Johnson be too cautious than not cautious enough, how can you feel it slightly unfortunate that he pivoted from what may have been after all the correct approach?
TD //If there was a coronavirus test to see if you have HAD it//
There is one.
Another thing, I literally haven't had a cold for some years and was feeling quite chuffed about that, but I did have this one earlier this year and that's another reason why I wondered if it was the virus.
I'm still sweating, ( not literally) on what the alleged symptoms are of the bod who has self isolated because he thinks he has all the signs.
We were in a group ,pre lockdown, last Thursday but took NRA and Govt guidelines by keeping 2mtrs apart when shooting. Unfortunately I was shoulder to shoulder with this chap for 35-40 minutes when we were down the butts operating the target frames. Hey Ho. I live in hope. Certainly haven't left the house since last Thursday..:-(
Not sure. I've had a few instances when I felt as if I was developing 'something', but I loaded up with vitamin c, and the symptoms disappeared.
That's really interesting as a nurse friend of mine in the SW reckons she had it in December and so did some of her colleagues. It will be interesting what she says when she can get hold of a test which she will do as she's a nurse practitioner.
