Yesterday I was accused of being a scaremonger on another thread for telling people how they need to behave and react(apparently I don’t work in the NHS, I’m a bin man) in the midst of the current crisis that will get exponentially worse.

Don’t listen to ANYTHING I say but do yourself a favour and listen to Dr Jack......PLEASE.

I too am immunosuppressed, with an underlying quite problematic disease.

Have you been on duty today Chilli, what’s it been like?
We had a long FaceTime with family in Spain earlier which quite upset us. They’re staying safe so far but would dearly love to have some human contact..not going or happen for a long time :/

Not been on duty today Vagus, no.
I’m actually on holiday next week but am already pencilled in for overtime pretty much every day, there’s lots of training and preparation still going ahead, estimates are that we are now about 10 days away from the initial impact, there’s preparation and readiness being made in all departments.

Chilldoubt - thanks for thinking of us. It is a strange time, like a bad movie.

I am on day 4 of staying away from the Virus - if I can get to the end of my incarceration without killing my furry family member I will very surprised.

A sense of humour is also needed in this challenging time and with challenging people.

Just been informed I’m working a day and a half of my holiday to train colleagues up on ventilators, luckily we had 19 new ones arrive on Friday.
