From this story it would appear that Harry is either incredibly naïve - or just thick.

There was an earlier thread on this, Mucky Sun, earlier in the week.
"Thick" readily springs to mind.
A little bit of both.
Maybe just more trusting than someone in his position needs to be.
I think he's naïve. He's been protected from real life. I bet he's never had a scam cold call in his life as the security around him will vet his calls. The fault lies totally in his security and I would be reviewing it if I was him.
Do his calls get filtered, especially now he's opted out of royal invitations ?
I thought it was hilarious.
"Who's on the phone Hirreeee?"

"Just Greta calling from Switzerland."

"Gee. Do I know hurrr?"

Weird that its Harry getting stick, when nobody is mentioning what a couple of *** the hoaxers are.

The guy was open, trusting and poured his heart out (to an extent, at least). He strikes me as someone who could do with a good friend to confide in.
Mozz - He could have lots of friends right here on Answerbank.

//The guy was open, trusting //

But surely with his upbringing he shouldn't be.
I think the Russian thickos need to get a life. I'm no great fan of Harry, but he's got enough problems without this *** to cope with.
//He could have lots of friends right here on Answerbank.//

Haha I don't think he would last five minutes.

//But surely with his upbringing he shouldn't be.//

Maybe not, but it isn't a trait he should be attacked for.
Question Author
He's being discussed - he's a public figure - but he's not being 'attacked'. I find it rather odd that he says he's concerned for his family's security - and I've no doubt he is - and yet he does something like this without a security check in sight.
//He's being discussed - he's a public figure - but he's not being 'attacked'.//

While I get your point...

//or just thick.//

...is a bit of an attack. A dig at least.

It's all a bit apparently, allegedly, claimed... hopefully he will be more careful in future, anyway.

No, it's a valid question. I don't think he's been sensible. Do you?
Not really, but a error in judgement is a long way from being 'thick'.
Wait until some undercover reporter lures him or the Markel into an unsuspecting deal. It will happen I'm sure.
Question Author
Speaking as he has to complete strangers an error of judgement? That's not what I'd call it.
