so no where to deport him too, more the pity...
Is it appropriate to point out that he hasn't actually been found guilty yet - a panel of people who are being given the full facts are about to make up their minds.

It's his right and it may be be does not acknowledge our justice system. He would not ; I suspect, want to be tried under Sharia law either

Unlikely as his attack was on mostly women and children.
Defence lawyers are entitled to advise their client not to stand in their own defense. I've no issue about that. I'm confident that the case will proceed fairly without it.

emmie - are you referring to Spicerack's post? When I was a teenager I used to get my dad to sign a note for me to buy saltpetre at the local chemist's so that I could make gunpowder for fireworks (I told him it was for my chemistry set); he hadn't a clue what he was signing for, so I can believe that friends would unwittingly help.
