Caroline Flack - Were The Press Really To Blame?

Masses of people on social media blaming the tabloid press for the tragic suicide of Caroline Flack, but can anyone explain in what way(s) the press were to blame - examples of articles would be helpful. I didn’t know the lady but she seemed to enjoy the spotlight as much as most celebrities....until the incident with her boyfriend. Is the suggestion that the press shouldn’t have reported on that and her consequent court appearance? Isn’t it their job to report on such incidents? I can’t help feeling that If they stopped such reporting, they’d stop selling papers....which may well be what the tabloid haters want.

going on something i read social media is in part to blame.. but the press can be very intrusive, see the pictures when she was add up in court, bundles of pressmen, cameras poking into her face recording every moment. I also read though i can't provide a link that she had anxiety and depression, something i know about..

Read somewhere that paramedics attended her 24 hours before her suicide, no other comment than that, so no idea what, if any, relevance that statement had. I'll try to find the link but due to excessive coverage it may take me some time.

It appears Caroline suffered with depression, one of the outcomes of this can be sudden and unexplained anger and violent acts - usually to those closest to the person. I think Caroline's boyfriend had some idea of this and that is why he didn't want to press charges. I think it was dreadful how the pbotographers had their camera lenses inches from her face, it would distress anybody, let alone someone with mental health issues. As to press intrusion and whether it is justified, it's true that many people in the limelight court the media but a line has to be drawn. I don't think you can blithely say they ask for it because they are 'celebrities' it would be a sad, dark world if we had no music, stage, comedy etc due to media intrusion. There are a huge amount of mental health issues around us, the great number of which are sadly carefully hidden, for whatever reason.

It's not just the press, but the vile comments section of news websites also. People were bombarding her with abuse from all social media platforms, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and I'm sure others.
Irony is, she's given them even more to talk about. It's awful rather sickening really that callousness is so prominent in todays society.
