Pleased I don’t watch much BBC and will certainly be giving this a miss
Thunbergs are go!
perlease!
^ :)
That was to Douglas. You always make me laugh with your comments.
I shall watch it and will be very interested to see what else she has to say.
I'm not sure it will be any better or worse than other offerings of theirs, tbh. It's about time they changed it to a subscription, and we will very soon see if they are "worth it".
I watch lots of documentaries on various subjects on various channels from all different angles - I can mange to make my own mind up after I've watched them.

I'll be watching.
Hmmm.

The BBC decides to make a documentary series about the most important issue in the world today and you object?

The BBC manages to get one of the world's most prominent campaigners on board for the series and you object?

The BBC embarks on the project via its commercial arm (which MAKES money for the BBC by selling its programming worldwide, thus REDUCING the burden upon licence payers) and you object?

Er, WHY???
Good idea. Everyone will switch their TV's off which is good for the environment.
i've always been a BBC supporter, this is making me question that.
Buenchico
Beautifully put as usual
Well said !
sorry I'll rephrase that, I've always supported the existence of the BBC if not always the content.
I worry for Ms Thunberg's mental health as time passes and the media, so consequently the money to fund her tour, moves on.

There's also the problem of the great and the good having limited capacity for being chided by a shrill child while they try to keep their people fed and in employment.

It won't end well for Greta.
This will be sure to irritate a lot of right wing old fogeys and conspiracy theory loons.

Money well spent then.
Lol, Ludwig:-). Doug, I think adults are mostly perfectly capable of hearing and thinking about a message, even if it comes from someone they think is a "child". I'm not suggesting she is right or wrong, but won't base it entirely on her age in any case.
It’s not the ‘ child’ in her that I’m not going to watch ,it’s that she’d totally programmed !
Difficult to tell, I think, bobbi, tbh. With autism, obsessions are very common. It doesn't prove her right or wrong, but I think it's very likely that she fully believes it herself xx
as I have said before I hope that she understands that she is being used.
^ I doubt it. She is a teenager (apart from the Aspergers)
