of course, if it was actually done by Labour, Tories would be demanding to know where the money was coming from.

can't bring yourself to admit the Tories may do something you agree with can you jno?
No doubt a great disappointment to some.
The Tories have a long way to go in order to meet Labour's pledge to increase the NMW to £10 an hour for those aged sixteen and over.
Forced minimum wage rate rises will only increase inflation IMO.

so Boris is running the railways now then?
But....Corbyn was right. He said in reply to the Queens' Speech that the Tories had adopted Labour policies. That's why labour voters voted for them, i.e. they are now Labour. ;o) Wait for it....................! Frank Doberman says..............

10.29 That's how it started with TGL .
Looks like a good thing. First it hopefully makes it pay to work and gives some people in the lower income brackets hope. Secondly it will wind the left up (as we see here) so a nice bonus.

//The Tories have a long way to go in order to meet Labour's pledge to increase the NMW to £10 an hour for those aged sixteen and over.//

True but do you think the Tories should do this immediately? Do you think labour would have done it immediately even?

As pointed out above sharp rises are inflationary so negating any rise. Needs to be done at the optimum level and in stages.
As a lifetime Labour supporter who saw the light at the last GE, I do not regret voting for Boris - don't let me down Boris (lol).
HereIam 16.08, "Don't let me down Boris" Have you seen the P... when he was on the Famous Zip Wire, I would have cut the cable and let the P... Fall down .(lol).
Now you know why Labour crashed. Not many like gulliver around. ;o)
Oh my gulliver you are such a wag, excuse me while I go and get my sides stitched back up ...
