The wee one is a thorn in everyone's side. She won't get the vote for a second Independence referendum
^ I hope not !
I hope Boris does allow a 2nd Indyref & the Scots turn it down AGAIN. Serve her right.
he won;t,
She is still under the illusion that , if she gets the independence she craves, the EU will welcome her with open arms.Poor deluded lassie,
//I hope Boris does allow a 2nd Indyref & the Scots turn it down AGAIN. Serve her right.//

I hope Boris organises another vote but lets us all participate. It would be a done deal, then we could lower the NHS bill (they couldn't stay in could they) and watch the £ soar even further without the Scottish millstone around our necks.

Given that the SNP won over 80% of the seats in Scotland, it's rather difficult to see how a claim that Nicola is (quote) "a thorn in everyone's side" makes any kind of sense.
Excellent, the little Englanders are now able to refocus on the real enemy now that their poster boy has cemented his position.

Deluded racists abound still.
seeing as how you have many who didn't vote for the SNP. She is still a thorn in westminster's side
She did well, for want of a more accurate description, because her party presents itself as the Scottish party despite trying to wreck the country by campaigning to leave the Union. Plus, as an area, remain was favoured and many citizens in our nation (witness the shameful increase in the illiberal undemocrats vote) can't accept when a decision doesn't align with their wishes. Hopefully this will be some kind of weird protest vote and sanity will return north of the border, next time.

Long may she remain so!

My response at 08.44 was in response to the contribution made at 08.42.
If Nicola wants to divorce GB, she can have it for £77billion, as she demanded to support labour. We can charge DUP likewise for independance.
better together, sorry
douglas, it was all the 'little Scotlanders' that voted for her !!
^^^ good point Tamb,
If we have to suffer financially for breaking away from Europe then surely Scotland should pay the price for divorcing the UK?
is the fact that Scotland is now, in effect, a one party state, a healthy state of affairs for a democratic nation?
I agree UK is better than GB but every divorce costs!
Quizmonster she may have had 80% of the seats but still only got 45% of the vote around the same as she got for the independence vote last time.
Question Author
Shedman, Johnson and the Conservatives got 56% of the seats and 44% of the vote in the UK, so it's abundantly clear that Nicola and the SNP - with 81% of the seats and 45% of the vote in Scotland - achieved an all-round better result than Boris and his Tories.
(You have to try to bear in mind that each of these leaders and parties operate - of necessity - within different geographical boundaries.)
