Let us all hope and pray that the horrific attacks at London Bridge do not become Boris's equivalent of Thatcher's "Falklands factor".

That’s pretty low Diddlydo, wanting to score points so soon , you I mean not the parties

Not trying to score any points but just saying.
well well well, you're terrified, you're getting the excuses ready. Sad that you use this terrorist attack in such a way. The nasty left eh!
if you want to blame anyone start with the Labour stooge Andrew Marr, he tried to blame the PM for a Labour law enacted in 2008.
//the Conservatives …. promising to end early release for people convicted of terrorism, while saying Jeremy Corbyn was unable to keep the public safe. //

Good that they’re promising to end early release for people convicted of terrorism (not before time)… and absolutely right to say that Jeremy Corbyn is unable to keep the public safe…. unable because he is unwilling. See his interview with Andrew Neil where he refused to confirm that, given the opportunity, he would take the leader of IS out. Can’t see a problem here.
If anything, the opposite might occur.

Thatcher made cuts to our defences so that the Falkland Islands were unprotected and inviting an invasion from the far right Argentinian dictatorship. We belatedly launched a recovery mission that resulted in hundreds of deaths, but today, all those sheep and penguins can sleep without worry of molestation.

On Friday, a terrorist that Labour had locked up a decade previously, but the Conservatives had let out early, went on the rampage and killed two innocent victims. There is no recovery from that. No armada, sacrifice of brave sailors lives or jingoism can improve the dire situation for the Tories. They *** up and people died as a consequence.

I doubt it will make any difference on the election either way, and definitely no bounce for Boris.
well Gromit I am now certain you are a Labour man, just come clean:
"all those sheep and penguins can sleep without worry of molestation." - you don't care for the Islanders then? those under our protection? yep standard left wing behaviour, you'd be happy to sacrifice them. I see you wheel out the usual carp that Kinnochio tried when challenged regarding the Falklands.
"On Friday, a terrorist that Labour had locked up a decade previously, but the Conservatives had let out early, went on the rampage and killed two innocent victims." - yes auto release by the Labour enacted law from 2008, the government does not "let people out" - that's the law and the judiciary and assorted administrators.
You really are showing your pro labour credentials, Jezza would be proud.
Clearly doesn't need to. The democratic parties must be on a landslide anyway.
As someone who knows people directly affected by this incident I find the the attempts at political point-scoring - both on this thread and on others - absolutely abhorrent.
Toorak, I agree
Gromit //a terrorist that Labour had locked up a decade previously//

A decade previously? When did Labour lock him up?

The beauty about winning an election (in 2010) is that you get to change anything you don’t agree with and don't like. If you let out hundreds of convicted terrorists for the next 10 years, it must mean you are not just OK with the law, but that you actively support it, by Complying with that (Labour) legislation with such enthusiasm.
(The big lie here is that Conservative [and Labour] Governments do not want to lock terrorists up for life because that is very very expensive).

Tora,
I freely admit after the Tories had humiliatingly lost the Falklands, they were were not not worth winning back. Not one British sailors life was worth it. We should have just nuked Buenos Aires and called it quits.
Any answer to my question, Gromit?
@ diddledededumdum
like ive asked on previous occasions..your pathetic digs at the PM are beyond boring..hes achieved high office whether people of your ilk like it or not...what have you achieved ?...I'm guessing this must be the pinnacle, non stop snidey little remarks at the PM on an internet board with one even more stupid follower....yep, youve achieved plenty
Out of order Diddles. Don't use a terrible tragedy to further a political agenda. Have some respect for the two victims.
Thanks for your qustion Naomi.

Though Khan’s original offence and arrest took place in 2010, it was in 2012 he was convicted. So it was under a Conservative administration he was detained, not under a hard marxist slap your wrist molly coddle terrorist sympathising Labour Government. I am happy to Accept your correction.
Thank you, Gromit. Heaven forbid your posts should ever mislead.
Genuine error Noami.
I was so accepting of the narrative that Labour was to blame, I neglected to actually look up and find it was entirely a Theresa May shitfest.
More than two victims all in all. Two deaths, plenty of victims.
Ummm - I agree. Many, many people deeply affected and traumatised. I find the apparent callous disregard on this site quite sickening.
