Free Broadband for the entire country pledged today.

We're obviously building up to a free house and your own hospital to be offered on the day before voting!

Well that is at least a promise for after the election, but not as slimy and sneaky as the Tories are offering Brexit Party Candidates before the election . I can see why taking on the networks for utilities like rail, energy, water and telecoms might offer benefits. But "free" broadband. Why?
I just heard this on the news and I literally laughed out loud ! Cloud Cuckoo springs to mind ..

They could use some of those billions to fund councils to fill all the bone-juddering potholes.
