If we are going to start giving examples... then everyone needs to give up work, as it would be a full-time job :-).
This isn't gender-neutral, or non-sexist... just the opposite. It pretends people are all the same.
Why the heck don't those in charge just grow up ? No one needs these ridiculous changes but everyone has to put up with their insanity.
Anyway surely it should be Ladies and Lords. Or gentlewomen and gentlemen.
'Shrugs and does what he's always done anyway'

Girls will be boys and boys will be girls, especially those craving attention at any cost.
Ladies embraces those who are entitled to be addressed as such and a courtesy title for women who are not.
I think it is more self-entitlement, than craving. Some people just cannot believe that what they want- doesn't automatically make it true
When I was teaching it was always 'girls and boys'. I am so pleased not to have to get embroiled in this daft gender neutral stuff. I think I'm well out of it. Phew!
I've always associated the words Ladies and Gentleman, with the toilets! Much prefer welcoming everyone to the theatre. This is not PC nonsense, its respecting and recognising those who are gender neutral.

Tim - rubbish. How will it stop people being violent whether male or female or whoever they chose to be?
Don't you just luv the luvvies. This debate has been running for years in The Stage , it's good to see the Daily Mail picking it up so speedily.
