south american countries are mostly catholic are they not?
high birth rates down there, more people more poverty, seems to be
a trend world wide, the cure...i have no idea, perhaps a plague
or an alien intervention from space, at the rate it's going ie population, i think the earth is finished, used up natural resources, pollution of air land seas, we even have space junk floating around, maybe all the religious nuts will get there armageddon.
"Is It Right For The Us Democrats To Blame Trump For These Deaths?" No, this problem is the tish lohes that these people come from. They are primarily the victims of TROB, in reality these places cannot run a a country and need to be invaded and civilised. Sadly in today's climate of Liberalism that's never going to happen.
Jno, // Khan has set stabbings as a priority.//

You’ll forgive me if I confess to having little faith in his professed intentions. I think it’s since that time when Westminster and surrounds were thrown into chaos by Muslim maniacs and Khan told us “the threat of terror attacks are part and parcel of living in a big city”. Kinda lost confidence in him really ....

I trust him to take posters of bikini clad girls off London Transport though. Credit where credit is due. He's done a good job there.

Said Trump: "I hate it and I know it could stop immediately if the Democrats change the law."

I don't think Trump is to blame for this either, but the fact remains that all sides in the US are too busy blaming each other to do anything about it.
the real problem is that the places that these people come from are such uninhabitable Tish holes. No one blames them for wanting a better life but why is El Salvador such a terrible place to live? That's the root cause, fix that.
Jim at 14:51 Thu, why are you telling me that?
Refers to your exchange with Karl at 11:51/11:53 today.
Jim, but that isn't 'the whole of all the circumstances' which is what Karl said.
The Senate Democrats have just rejected a bipartisan bill from the house for billions in funding for the border issue.

They blame Trump when in fact they have refused to acknowledge there is a crisis. They have refused to fund any humanitarian aid because it doesn’t come close to a free for all at the border. They don’t agree with borders, keeping their country safe or that it s the policies of the Obama administration that they once agreed with that they are now so against because Trump is in charge.

naomi, this has nothing to do with "professed intentions". He's done it. He's told the Met to make stabbings a priority.

It's just that if the Met don't do so, there's nothing he can do about it.

He does have power over transport, hence the posters. He doesn't have power over policing. For that you need to speak to Sajid Javid, who I'm sure is frightfully concerned about it and full of plans to deal with it.
Well I am sure I could dig up a few tweets where he pins the blame for "everything" on the Democrats if it helps matters.
jno, nice to have such faith.

Jim, I've heard it all before from you. He's the Devil incarnate.
In the meantime, as TTT rightly says, this is not really about what you do at the US border. If Trump wants tighter security, or if the Democrats want no security at all*, neither addresses the root issue, which is why people want to leave those countries in the first place.

It's therefore rather sad to have seen that in answer to the migrant crisis, the US is intending to cut off aid to the main three countries at the heart of it all.

*They don't, by the way -- cassa's post is totally wrong. The dispute is over funding a wall, not border security in general.
It takes a certain amount of skill to read a post that literally says "I don't think Trump is to blame for this" as "Trump is the devil incarnate".
i don't think it's the usa's problem, mexico let them in
Jim, the problems those countries are experiencing aren't the United State’s problem – and why should they be? If they are encouraging people to attempt to enter the US illegally, then perhaps Mexico should make efforts to try to prevent it. Like the UK, the US can’t take everyone who wants to come – whoever the president might be. It’s unrealistic to expect it.

//It takes a certain amount of skill to read a post that literally says "I don't think Trump is to blame for this" as "Trump is the devil incarnate".//

It takes very little skill to read your post that attempted to support Karl’s contention that Trump is ‘responsible for ‘the whole of the circumstances’.
bear in mind there an innocent soul on AB who is sure he will be murdered in his bed again tonight by brown skinned assailants !

(right got that off my chest...)

Q:Is It Right For The Us Democrats To Blame Trump For These Deaths?
Answer - yes quite right ! Trump is as guilty as tho he held the childs head under water until she stopped struggling whilst yelling at the teevee cameras - "ya gartta do this to be re-elected! - that's true!", and the white supremacists holler - lock her up!
and a motor boat driven by an undoubted patriot drives over and mutilates the bodies - who is later acquitted and averred 'I did this for God and the President'

and everyone wonders who they should lock up - the little dead 7 y old probably ....
//Jim, I've heard it all before from you. He's the Devil incarnate.//

and er that means he cant be ( the Devil Incarnate) ?

o god this has to be AB in full swing - leave logic at the door boys and girls .....

PP, when you say 7 year old daughter are you referring to these two?

// The photograph showed the drowned bodies of Salvadoran refugee Oscar Alberto Martinez Ramirez, 25, and his 23-month-old daughter //
Baldric, best ignored. His mouth long since took leave of his brain.
