These are % of viewership not actual numbers, but Channel 4 appears to have maintained 4.8% consistently for the past 5 years. During the same period, BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 5 have all lost % share

Gromit; According to its own annual report the viewing figures for Channel 4 News tumbled 9% year-on-year in 2018. Channel 4’s overall viewing figures also took a hit among young and minority viewers.

You'd better tell them that they are mistaken and they can carry on dishing out their own distorted views.
